Hey- why aren't we hearing anything on this? Is it due to Mission:Space being so close to opening? I mean, the FINALLY give Mickey his OWN attraction in the MK and we really aren't hearing a lot about it! I'm really "chompin at the bits" for this attraction!

one of my MK trainers told me that it would beat out the other 3d movies with its technology! and that the characters would be computer animated and they would look awesome! i just can't believe with it opening at the end of summer/early fall that we aren't hearing more about it...

I suppose sometime around this summer, maybe fall even... I dont even know much about the attraction/ride/story anything either... so to tell you the truth im a bit "questioned" and excited about it.
I would like to find more info and posts on ths but i cant really seem to track down whats going on.
All i know is that its a 4D show with Mickey & Some other people and will probably be high class am I right?

According to Disney Magazine , (Issue #Winter 2002-2003 with treasure planet on the cover to be precise for those of you who collect as well) :
It stars Donald Duck, Mickey mouse, and "Other Favorites"
Donald Starts out thinking he can conduct the PhilHarmagic orchestra and ends up darting in and out of scenes from various Disney animated features. He goes "Under the Sea" with Ariel, soars through a "Whole New World" from Aladdin and Jasmine, he "Just can't wait to be king" with simba, and joins the be our guest scene from Beauty and the Beast.
It will use a 150 foot wide canvas and is full of in theater sounds smells and other effects much like the others

I am puzzled... According to this description from the DM, isn't Donald Duck the main character of this movie, as HE is the one who tries to conduct the orchestra and ends up "traveling" through disney famous movies? Where is Mickey in this storyline?:veryconfu

I think I remember reading somewhere that it's Mickey who has to rescue Donald and restore order to the PhilharMagic orchestra. But this might be wrong.

Basicly it's going to be a cavalcade of Disney Characters in the movie. I think it is the largest 3d screen in WDW and even though some of the theater effects were cut b/c of a budget there is still going to be tons. Right now as it stands it is close to completion and we are just waitting on the film. From what I've heard training for CMs will begin somewhere around mid-summer.
