RUMOR has it that "open previews" have begun in the attraction.

Any guest who has had the opportunity (not to be selected to go in, but to actually go in on his/her own) - OR anyone visiting the Magic Kingdom, see if this is valid!

I was in the Magic Kingdom less than three hours ago. The barriers were still up and nobody was entering the attraction, invited or otherwise.

We just got back Sat the 30th and did get invited to enter the show. My daughter who just turned 4 and not afraid to ride Space Mountain, mission space, tot, or anything else for that matter is normally scared of any 3D/4D show actually liked this show.
With giving away all the effects I’ll tell you it starts with Donald trying to be the conductor of the orchestra and putting on the sorcers hat. He's standing on stage about the same as Muppet vision. He can't seem to get the instrument to play way he wants and gets mad. From then Donald is thrown and bounced through a bunch of different Disney movies. During the darkness the surround lifts and the screen then is much larger, about 180 degrees. Movie clips like fantasia, in which water spray at you and Aladdin where wind is blown at you from differ anent angles to simulate a carpet ride. In the end Donald give the hat to Mickey and blown away by the music into the rear wall of the theater. Being brand new everything seemed great. The entire show is computer generated. I have some small video shots but will only able to e-mail it later.

Does anyone know if opening is Oct 8 as has been reported on other boards? We're worried about going to MK that day because of crowds...
Also, if it's in soft opening late September, do you think it will be open for MNNSHP on Oct 5?:)

ezmason,

I just have to ask, you mentioned your daughter just turned 4. I assume she is at least 44" since she has been on Space Mountain and Mission Space??? My 4 1/2 year old boy is about 43" with tennis shoes on and I intend to allow him to ride the TOT when we go in December.

After the 1st time she went on it, was she OK with going on it again?

I wonder. Since this and Wishes, from what I was told by my manager, since both of these are a 'Birthday present to Mickey" (With his 75th birthday and all), do you think they might be starting the fireworks that same night? or somewhere around that time frame?

Hey Grizz, Deb from wdwig.com has a report about it on her website somewhere. I read it today and was very happy with it, even though I expected Donald to visit more movies. The usual "new classics" (B&tB, Mermaid, Lion King) kinda get tiring after a while, since Disney seems to give them all the attention for the past, what, 10 years?

*little rant*
I just wish I could see the Dalmatians, the Aristocats or Lady and the Tramp ANYWHERE around the parks, maybe a parade or something!
*rant over*

By the way, if you don't want spoilers, don't read Deb's report!!

awilliams4, We went last Oct and she was just over 3 Years old-42" tall, made it on TOT then also. She was nervous the first time due mostly to everybody screaming. But now she screams right with them. I think most kids get scared but how will they ever know. TOT and SpaceMountian are her fav
