Phil Holmes in the parks!

I think the reason people find it surprising that he was seen, is because he is really only seen in the parks on business and surrounded by his entourage. (Same with Meg. And Rasulo who always looks like he wants to take a shower after being in the parks.)
Who ever sees him in the park on his own time, just there for fun? Even taking his family to the park?

Then you have a Ouimet, who regularly visited his park without entourage or nametag. Sometimes with his kids, sometimes not. Often standing in line with guests or eating from a counter service restaurant.
THAT is what a park VP needs to be doing.

You'd think that would sort of be mandated for these guys...

Before y'all send this thread spiralling out of control, Phil is in the parks OFTEN, both for work and for pleasure. In the past few months, I've seen him here on his "weekend" with the family at least every-other weekend.

There's no need to make something out of nothing here. The man spends plenty of time in the parks for work and for fun.

Make something out of nothing...... Really?

All you defenders need to realize that regular preventative maintenance has been gutted and rides are falling apart. If this guy is there so often and can see the MK slowly disintegrating, and does nothing about it, then he is equally culpable.

Yeah he is in the park frequently, his office is right above the ice cream parlor.

Didn't notice till now all the little details, like the park map in the book, Donald on the bookcase, peanuts (dumbo fan?), etc

Yeah those are suppose to signify his accolades with that hes done for the park, like the aladdin lamp for the aladdin spinner. As if a spinner is such a huge deal and should deserve kudos for being slapped into the middle of adventureland, real big gold star he gets for that. The apple for gutting snow white for a meetngreet  and the peanuts for bringing a double spinner and storybook circus. Those are such huge accompolishments for how long hes reigned now? Yet thanks to him we still have the same afternoon parade for well over a decade.

Well said. If the park VP is happy with the state of his park that says it all.

He probably doesn't even know Rainbow Caverns are called that for several reasons. And thinks the 60 minute standby at Space means the refurb was good.

I happened to work that night and Phil was there for a Board of Directors shindig. (I know I signed up just to make this post but I've been following the website for 3 years now and everytime I had a comment, someone already said it so I just kept it to myself )

The reply was to the OP as well as the poster a few down who seemed to think he was not in the park often. I'm not sure where you think the state of the park is pertains to the OP's topic of him physically being in the park...

I repeat... thread spinning out of control and away from the original topic.

Sad how many times I'm reminded of why I stopped posting valuable information here.To the OP - I'm sorry that people are hijacking your thread to turn it into something it's not.

Out again, I'll try again in another year or two.

If that painting of Phil Holmes is actually in the park I actually find that pretty offensive. There are far more deserving people of tributes then him. Heck WDI legend Bruce Gordon, co-creator of Splash Mountain, doesn't even have a single homage anywhere in the park but F*cking phil worthless holmes gets a big a$$ painting? Are you kidding me?
