Does anyone know where I can get the soundtrack to Phantom Manor? The score is GORGEOUS! I wish that Haunted Mansion had the same thing.

The complete score is fantastic; one of my favourite from any attraction.

If you get my (free) "The Story of Phantom Manor by Martin" video at Mousebits.com I`ve used a lot of versions of the music; much more than you can download from any website

Sorry I am new here and I was wondering something. I read somewhere in a forum that the haunted Manor is very different to the two Haunted Mansions here in the U.S. I read that it was scarier. Is that true?

Welcome!

Phantom manor is most definatley a lot darker and moodier than the HMs. It has a deep, tragic backstory and the whole atmosphere is much more sinister. Apart from the singing busts the mood is not nearly as comical. The attraction itself has the same layout as Anaheim and most of the show scenes are the same - though far more advanced. Instead of falling out of the house and into the graveyard in Paris you fall out and into a GRAVE - and travel down into the underworld.

The backstory is very, very clever. It links in the Manor, Big Thundermountain, some of the nearby stores and most of Frontierland.

Thunder Mesa was established when gold was found in Thundermountain (so named for the earthquake caused when people tried to remove it). Henry Ravenswood owned the mine, and had a fine manor house built on a hill overlooking the Mountain. Henry, his wife Martha and daughter Melanie were wealthy and very happy, and Henry treated his workers with respect - one big happy goldtown. However, some workers wanted more, and dug a tunnel from Big Thunder Island to a store on the shore - Thunder Mesa Mercantile. The remains of the lift shaft is still there today. Henry felt the town was turning against him, then Melanie announced she was to marry to move away. Her father said she couldn`t leave - at any cost. In 1860 the family mysteriously dissappeared. The Phantom who follows us - and eventually leads us into an open grave - in the ride could be Melanies father or her husband to be. As the ride progresses we see Melaine turn from a beautiful young woman to one devestated, and worse. The real fate of Melanie is revealed in one of the rides final scenes.

Now THAT is a backstory.

The video I mention above at www.mousebits.com - available for free - illustrating the backstory in full, plus the history, concepts and construction of the attraction, followed by a full multi-camera attraction journey from start to finish. And it includes 27 mninutes of the great music mentioned above :)

I am going to make an oath to myself to try and figureout mousebits.com over my Spring Break. :D

Your videos sound amazing!!

p.s.(if you see this) I went to your homepage and tried to see your list of videos that you have made. I clicked the link under your "recent vids" thread and the page came up but nothing was on it. Any idea why I can't view it?

^ Thank you! I do try :)

Ahh...my MSN page.... the cheap way out to having a webpage!

Yep, goto to my page. Click `messages` in the left coloumn, and click the message `latest video list` - when it opens you`ll see an attatchment text file. Open that. It`s the quickest way for me to update the list; the list is now too long to copy and paste into a normal message.

And problems at mousebits, just post a question in the technical forum. There`s plenty of FAQs already. We don`t bite!
