We have a black lab mix, whom is now 7 years old, and a cat that has the most beautiful blue eyes and is white with a tint of redish orange on his back, ears and tail, whom is now 2 and is basically my daughters cat. We also have leopard frog that began here as a tadpole and eats live cricket (whom we have to feed too), and the goldfish my son won at a fair died 2 days ago. :(
Our dog came from a shelter (in which she had parvo disease and they would have put her to sleep but with our help, vet. care and love she survived) and she is the nicest, sweetest dog, and is wonderful with our children.:)

My cat sassy whom I posted a pic of on the first page is like your cat you desribed.....they refer to the coloration of the ears back and tail as flame point. Sassy is seven, she was abandoned at a veteranary clinic and was severely abused.....they were gonna put her to sleep but my mom is friends with the lady who worked at the vet and we adopted her.

My daughter's cat looks a lot like your cat Sassy. He came from a farm where the cats were all starting to inter-breed, so they were going to take all the kittens to the shelter. My daughter fell in love with our cat with all his fleas, ear mites, and ticks on him. He is a funny cat. He loves to play with the dog (wrestle), lay up against the dogs belly when he's cold, and loves to clean my dogs ears (even though she hate it, she lets him do it). Sometimes, at night we don't watch TV for entertainment but instead watch the dog and cat play. They are very entertaining.

Does your cat Sassy have blue eyes? My vet. says that our cat looks like a Red Point Siamese. As far as we know, he is just a mixture of many breeds.

I forgot about those when I listed our pets! I also feed the leopard frog (former egg>tadpole>frog) small meal worms with a pair of tweezers..all of the frogs and turtles eat that way. Then I put crickets in, but most of them drown!

I draw the line at snakes or anything that eats mice...

Sassy sounds like my daughter as far as liking to lay around and sleep a lot and she just sent me a note from camp that said "Hi Mom and Dad, It's the princess writing to you." Your cat and my daughter think alike. :D

We had a leopard gecko lizard but my son thought he might be lonely and gave it to a friend who has 2 other gecko lizards. I always felt sorry for it being alone and would let it walk on my shirt while I cleaned. Nobody at home really bothered with it but me, so I was glad when my son decided to give it to his friend and it is a very happy lizard. One less mouth to feed crickets or worms to.

I have a 5 year old gray/brown tabby cat named Lucky. He only has three legs. He was one of our thirteen wild cats my parents fed while I was in college. He climbed into my dad's van to keep warm, but didn't get out when Dad started the van up. He fell out just a little way down the road and Dad went back for him. My mom and I took him to the vet to see how bad it was. My dad said he's fix him if it didn't cost too much. He should never have let me see him, because I called him after the vet told us that his leg was shattered in three places and the nerve severed. I told him I'd never speak to him again if he didn't fix the cat. $500 and one week later, Lucky became my pet and my poor husband-to-be got his first cat.

I also have a one year old blue-gray cat named Smokey. He's another hard luck story. His mother, a wild cat, had a litter under our front porch. For some reason, she abandoned Smokey. I, of course - and with help from my dad(he knew he wouldn't have to pay for this one!), crawled under the porch and got Smokey out. We took him to the vet and he was fine, although malnourished. $150 later, I had another cat! He is all kitten, even now, and he follows my son everywhere. Those two think they are brothers.:p
