Petes Silly Sideshow coming to Storybook Circus

All this drama over a poster...

I am embracing all of the new Fantasyland, whatever it may have. It's going to have well deserved rides and restaurants of some of Disney's best animated features (I'm looking forward to The Beast's Castle and the Be Our Guest restaurant most of all). It's demolishing a temporary land that should have been given the boot decades ago. Heck, it's replacing the abomination that was the Hundred Acre Wood playground/meet and greet. I don't know about any of you, but I think there's plenty more to look forward to and celebrate than to trash talk and nitpick, especially when it's over a freaking photograph.

If Disney is promising us all of that and more, I can trust that they will do just fine with the upcoming Circusland. If they are putting this much effort into The Little Mermaid and the Mine Coaster (as well as everything else), I see no reason to be concerned about this new mini-land.

As for my two cents, if this turns out to be a M&G for Pete, I will be pleased. He is an important yet underrated villain, I'd like to see more of him in the parks.

agree with everything you say except peat M&G it would be kind of strange to have M&G for only pete? it would be interesting to have a M&G for all the old characters ( horace, claribell ,ect.) but still there would be no attraction to them (except for disney fans like ourselves LOL)
and we are just discussing what it could be cus disney has not released any info for it
if it is going to be rest rooms where is it going to go?? pete garage space will be taken over by LM

I wouldn't believe that's entirely true. If you've ever played Epic Mickey, there is ample awareness of Pete, Horace, and Clarabelle (and, in Pete's case, even more so in the Kingdom Hearts series). You can already meet the latter two in Main Street; it's a wonder why they haven't had Pete out for M&G's yet after the release of Kingdom Hearts (and if they have already, I was never informed).

I agree that there should be a M&G for the old-fashioned characters, namely Pete, Scrooge McDuck (my personal favorite), and... *crosses fingers* Oswald.

forgot about epic mickey whoops!
they are more relevant to todays crowd than previously
so maybe i still think it would be cool to have circus disney( it would include the classic caricature and would solve the small problem that SBC has ( the addition of a new attraction):D

Even beyond Epic Mickey, Pete an Clarabelle are also supporting characters on Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, particularly Pete. There will be a ton of kids from around age 8 (about the time the show came out was when kids who are now 8 would have been into it) and below who know who they are, probably more so than some of the parents.

Hot dog! I seemed to have forgotten about that. :lookaroun

In all seriousness, you make an excellent point. That's all the more reason to have Pete and the others in the parks; not only do us gamers know them, but the youngsters, too!

I think they should move the Speedway into Toontown and have a circus segment. It would fit right in the circus theme.

It could serve as a PeopleMover but for Toontown.

I think the Speedway is being re-routed, if I recall correctly.

no it has already been re rooted( the end segment has shifted a little to the west) too make room for one of the dumbo spinners, but not for the actual tent/queue
they will probably have the tent as a facade and cover the queue show building with trees

I want to say that Pete's Sideshow is gonna be a merchandise location....

No, it's not. SBC's new merchandise location is going to be "Big Top Souvenirs".

I still say that the Silly Sideshow will be a meet-and-greet area for Pete and other classic characters like Clarabelle, Horace, Clara Cluck, Clarice, Oswald, etc. A lot of those characters are "silly" enough anyway. :D

Actually, aside from ocassional special events, Horace & Clarabelle haven't really been out in the parks as normal regular meet-and-greet characters since Fall 2008. That's one reason why a lot of us believe that the Silly Sideshow would be the perfect place for them to greet guests.
