With the size of the average American, I'd guestimate 600 per hour. Probably half of the hourly capacity in 1971.......................

The good news is that I saw aluminum foil on sale at the grocery store this weekend. Hopefully they can re-line our volcano.
I wonder if 2 adults and 2 kids would fit back in the 70's. I assume the ride vehicles were meant to fit a family of 4.

I don't think so. Those little ships have always been super-low capacity.

Correct, they have always only fit two. They made the boats at DL wider to fit two "modern sized" Americans.

Paris has always had the 4 seat, two row model that works very well at fitting more people but not giving those who sit in the back a poor view.

The Shah and his wife look pretty excited about their upcoming adventure with PP, but in the second photo, it looks like a CM is going to have a hard time getting that C ticket away from Grandma! Looks as though she's got a pretty good grip on it.

It's the Shah of Iran....the one thrown out of power when the Ayatollah Khomeini took over, and obviously the end of the Iranian Pavilion for Epcot.
Are you trying to tell me that Iran is The Land of Make Believe? I think that's probably offensive to somebody.
