Folks get worked up about the dangdest things. Seriously, having a problem with somebody taking a picture? If more people would mind their own business.....
Yes, I do ... if you are taking flash pictures on a dark ride, ruining the experience for everyone on the ride ... I have a huge issue with it ... I have had people turn around on pirates and hit me full in the face with their camera strobe, and it doesnt stop with one, they take multiple frames thru the ride.

It would really be a shame if that camera wound up in the water ... just sayin.

I can see no changes from the outside. BUT these were the Fast passes available at 9:30. The park closes at 7. Tell me again how FP+ has minimal impact on FP?

Yes, more than $200. More than $1000, not really. I have used them for set decorating, very cheap technology. Labor and shipping would cost more than supplies.

I was a Classics CM in Fantasylad (Snow, Toad, Pinocchio, Pan, Alice, Dumbo, etc.) at Disneyland, and I can tell you those lights aren't the kind you have. They are very, very expensive and well into the thousands.

Nothing irks me as much as people taking flash pictures on dark rides. It ruins the experience for everyone and it produces terrible pictures-- so no one really gains anything from the flash, it shows you don't know how to use a camera and blinds people. It's the worst.

And I can tell you the technology behind fiber optics is not that complicated. The feeder lights are more complicated than feeding the fibers. Brighter lights... brighter fibers. Still not too complicated. And yes, a grand could do it. You can make costume fiber optics a half dozen people for the same cost as that whole attraction and those would be wireless power.

Never said they were complicated. All I said was the lights in DL's Pan are expensive. That's all.

You can actually buy pre-fabricated LED or Fiber Optic Curtains and install them permanently in a dark ride like Peter Pan for about 5000 dollars a curtain. The price is so high because the curtains have to be permanently fire treated, and that material to begin with is expensive... that material also has to be something that doesn't gather dust.

Do you take pictures during movies?
Here's an idea, learn how to use the camera without the flash.
Seriously, the pic you get isn't going to look good with the flash anyway, and you've just ruined the setting for that part of the ride.
It's not a disco, it's PotC.

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
Instant poll: What's more annoying: Other guests taking flash pictures on Haunted Mansion or reciting the script alongside the Ghost Host in the stretching room?
Flash pictures - hands down!!!

Of course, I have been known to join our Ghost Host in reciting the script. My favourite part ... "And a ghost will follow you home." (Not in the stretching room, I know).

Seriously. People seem to have no idea how to use their cameras, I laugh when I see people on Main Street at night attempting to take flash pictures of the castle...100s of feet away. All you're doing is blinding some poor sap who happens to be walking in your direction. Take 10 minutes to Google camera settings and spare the rest of us.
