Has anyone heard anything about Peter Pan's Flight being refurbished? It is so very old and tacky, yet the lines are crazy. I never see this on the refurb list and it is in desperate need!

I'd wager that fall 2013 would be the best time if it's going to happen this year. You are right, it desperately needs it.

What it really needs is an interactive queue like Pooh or the Haunted Mansion because that line gets super long with not much for the kids to do while waiting in line.

Is there anyway to increase capacity for he attraction?
Other Pan rides have boats with two rows, but that's probably too much of an investment. My crazy idea was to take the space from the bathrooms and add in extra show space that you would see from the current track without changing the ride path. Does anyone know what parts of the ride are up against the bathrooms? Is it just the London scene?

A Peter Pan refurb won't happen until:

a) The Tangled area is finished
b) Splash Mountain and Mad Tea Party finish their refurbs
c) A "busy" season like spring break or summer ends

They probbaly however, will only do the queue work without shutting down the ride at all.

How did I and millions of other people survive just fine without the tacky cheap effects that's destroyed so many lines already?

Pan needs money toward the ride itself over any nonsense interactive junk.

I don't think they are tacky at all. It really adds to the ride as a whole and helps pass time for all of the kids waiting in line.

Peter Pan is lovely and does not need a re-imagining.
But the ride itself feels old. A right good refurb is sorely needed. Of the kind that uplifts it from old to classic, not any forced newish stuff that will only feel out of place itself, and make what was there already look old by comparison.

Why would it not need fast pass? That doesn't seem to make much sence.
Fast Pass artificially expands standby line wait times. Continuous loading attractions by their very nature used to have lines that almost always continually moved forward. Fastpass makes these lines now stop and start, hence they get longer.

The company politics of why Fastpass exists is better discussed elsewhere.

What the MK needs is the DL tactic: swamp them with rides.

Classic FL darkrides by default have horrific low capacity. Queues and fastpasses, or not, don't change that. The solution to increased capacity is to swamp people with darkrides. One or two darkrides get overwhelmed with guests, who all want to ride them. Add one more, and the place will attract even more guests, increasing lines further. (Which is the WDW scare) But build five darkrides, and add another five other classic kiddie attractions, and the lines become manageable.

That is true Fastpass does tend to slow down rides a lot, but are a big help if you are the one using it.
