People that say that their kids are too young. It even worst when you know that they are saying that only cause they themselves don't want to go cause they don't like lines or a million other excuses.

I agree with the people who don't understand why we like to do disney. I answer why wouldn't you want a vacation where you can pamper yourself like a child or adult, go go go or rest rest rest...and oh yeah, it's clean, organized, and you feel safe.

i have to add i hate it on the disney bus when younger people don't offer to give up their seat for someone old or someone holding a young child. I also don't like people who don't put their young children on their laps when the bus is full to let someone else sit down.

People who think it is childish to go and don't understand there is so much more to WDW than just the Disney characters they see on tv. It's the greatest place on earth and all the haters are missing out!

We visited WDW when our children were babies. We went because WE wanted to go and we went every year since. There was never had a moment when we wondered if they were 'the right age to go' or if we 'thought they'd have fun on so and so ride'. Hence, they grew up loving the parks and we have many happy memories. Vacations are all about family and having fun and memorable times and WDW has surely provided that! I am sure my husband and I would continue to visit, even if our now grown children had other plans.

Not a peeve but a guy I know didn't go to WDW with his wife, daughter and grandson saying he had too much work to do. This is the same guy who complains about his job day-in and day-out.

When you standing in line for the bus and people rush in front of you ...I'm like wow really !!!! Then when you give them a dirty look they tell the whole bus how rude Americans are. :hammer:

I work 2 jobs to feed my addiction to Disney ....I hate it when people ask me Oh my gosh how do you do it ?? Well ....because you don't have to ??

It is how old you feel.

When my family goes to Disney World, it is like an escape from the real world and into fantasy. You forget about other things and enjoy yourself no matter what your age. The sounds, the smells, the atmoshere, just soak it up.
Our son first went to Disney when he was 2 years old and had a blast. My wife has to show her co workers some of the pictures we took and the expressions on his face to convence them that 2 is not too young. Keep in mind the free park entry for the young ones as well.
Our daughter took her first trip at 6 months of age.
As a family we visited WDW at least once a year from 1995-2008. The twice a year visits came when we not only went for the summer, but also for Christmas. We have been unable to go the past couple of years due to finances, but we are trying to see what we can workout.
As far as what I enjoy, I ride everything the children ride and look forward to each one. I even take character pictures. My son says I act like a kid.
Just sit back relax and enjoy.:sohappy:

I hate it when other people look at you like your some sort of pedophile or weirdo because your a 25 year old guy who likes to go to Disney. I try to brush it off and I know I shouldnt care what other people think, but it still bothers me. Doesnt bother me enough to NOT go but still, maybe from now on when people give me that "omg your going to disney again freak?" look, I'll throw some pixie dust on em and give them a quick punch in the face.

This is exactly the way I feel. I'm a seasonal passholder who lives about 2.5/3 hrs away so about once a month, me and the family head up there for a quick weekend getaway. WDW has been the only constant in our lives from about the time I was 1. My parents took my brother and me every year for summer vacation. Its why I look at the place with such fondness and nostalgia.

Being able to take a weekend getaway about once a month is like taking a nice break from reality and stepping into a time capsule to a place that still looks, smells and feels the same as it did when I was a child. When we go, noone is worried about their job, or the house, or meeting deadlines. Our only concern is how much fun can we have this day? Its like when you're there, you are shut out from the world, and you are playing in the most amazing make believe world anyone could imagine.

My family and I started annual trips to WDW from Michigan in the early 90's first off property and then started staying on property, all my relatives thought we were crazy. In 1998 we started spending our Easter vacations it Fort Wilderness Campground in our RV, now people really started to ask us why. Now my children have grown up (age wise), I am retired. In 2009 my wife and I moved so we could be closer to WDW, we now can hear the fireworks and the MK train from our home, now all my relatives want to visit, I wander why?

Good question. I HATE when people say their kid is too young.

It seems the argument is always that they want to wait till the kid is old enough to remember it.

They tend to not remember that:

1. The kid will have a BLAST, and there's surprisingly a lot to do for very small ones.
2. They make these things called video recording devices. Sometimes there's even HD ones in PHONES!
2. The parents will have a blast watching how much fun the little one is having.

Drives me nuts. REALLY hate the "my kid is too young" comment. I dare anyone to watch the reaction of their 1 or 2 year old when they first see Mickey and then say that.

I can't stand when people use the excues that they don't want to live on burgers and fries for a week. The variety of food is simply amazing, even at the quick-serve level.
