I mean, there's apparently still a ride that they haven't announced yet for Pixar Pier. It's going in the old Maliboomer area.

Are you taking about the inside out spinner or those really vague rumors/ speculation/ wishful thinking that a Pixar dark ride was going back there.

What I meant by my post was that it would be huge feat to surprise us these days with the internet and fan sites like this. That if a third ride is in the works for SWL there is 99.9% chance we would have heard about it in some way. Of course not that Disney would do anything like that anyway when the smallest things get official blogs and grand openings.

The original third attraction was going to be a Bantha ride (peoplemover style) around the land, but it got scraped.

I was unaware they had announced the Inside Out spinner.

I was unaware they had announced the Inside Out spinner.

They kind of have, and they kind of haven't. It's visible in the artwork in the new Blue Sky Cellar exhibit, and a drunken John Lasseter slurred a bit about it at the last D23 Expo. But it's confidently rumored to be the current Flik's Flyers attraction dismantled, repainted and rethemed, and plopped onto the old Maliboomer pad. It won't open until later in 2019, after Flik's Fun Fair closes entirely after Labor Day.

Here's the photographic proof from the Blue Sky Cellar artwork now on display...

A few thoughts and observations:

Part of me wonders why a company the size of Disney wouldn't just buy a bare-bones ride from Zamperla to theme and install, rather than going through the convoluted process of stripping Flick's of current theming, disassembling/moving, reassembling, retheming, etc.

I know the "memory bubbles" (or whatever they are) must be important to the ride, but it sure seems like they are downplaying the kinetic visual appeal. Maybe the view is mostly blocked off to inaccessible areas? It's hard to tell, probably due to my next point...

Periodic Reminder: The detail of these renderings can never be taken too seriously.

Check out this section of Screamin' (Incredicoaster) track. it's hard to tell if it twists into an actual inversion, or merely goes into an opposite bank, threatening to pull you out of your seat.

Or this new design feature. To avoid obscuring the view, they've managed to pull the support spokes behind the cabins. Neat!

And last but not least (for now), Check out these cabins. They give the name "Fun-Wheel-Of-Death" much more meaning.

I still wish they had gone with their first idea. Not sure if anyone noticed some of the artwork in the blue sky cellar. They had a much better looking spinner in the eastern helix that looked more thrilling and an actual ride in the western helix. It almost looked like they were going to re-purpose the heimlich track system and give it some elevation over the walkway as well as to have it go into part of the old shop building.

The changes in track elevation would have added some energy to that side of the pier and with the relocation they could have had the opportunity of actually plussing a simple ride with more detail and better story

having this spinner next to the swings makes no sense at all, why have to swing within a few feet of each other.

They should have made it the bad guys robot from Incredibles and have one of the tentacles or something interact with guests on the coaster and pretend to swipe at them.
