More safety measures at Splash

Received BLD2017-03379 WALT DISNEY WORLD CO 1313 S HARBOR BLVD 4301 (Splash Mountian) Disney - Critter Country/Splash Mountain - Tenant Improvement: 860 s.ft to create cross over platform and stairs with guardrails for fall protection/path of travel to access roof top mechanical equipment. Located on the third floor.

I think the rumor (or maybe it was confirmed? I can never tell anymore) is that both Cars Land and GOTG will receive Halloween overlays this year.

So, what is this?

I suspect it's the completed two story building on the NE corner of the "expansion" area of SWGE. Both this building and the previously completed one story building are filled with construction offices vacated from the temporary trailers that were at the eastern end of SWGE.

The alternative is that it's the add-on at the eastern end of the Falcon building. The trench level vaults imply it could be vehicle maintenance for Falcon.

I won't list them all but multiple permits were issued for work on Antenna Cell Sites all over the resort.

That's for that new Star Wars Laser Tag thing.

2,600 square feet is not a lot. This is going to be a very small venue with no ability to develop a queue or manage any real customer demand that would spill out onto the walkway between it and the Uva Bar.

Oh, wait, this is located in the middle of.... Disneyland USA! The demand will be huge and they have nowhere to put a queue. I smell an impending mess.

Spilling into Uva, with its overpriced offerings, might be part of a cunning plan.

Why did you call it Disneyland USA? My old boss used to call it that, and I always made fun of her for it (behind her back of course.)

I won't answer for @TP2000 or your old boss, but "Disneyland, USA" is a marketing term that was used prominently in the past. I imagine it was in use until WDW opened, though I'm not certain of that. Here's a promotional Disneyland, USA film from 1956:
