Here is something to ponder. This may or may not have any relevance or it could be major. I live and I am at the end of a costly and lengthily prosses of obtaining building permits to build a single family home in San Diego county (three years and $80K not even gets you a shovel of dirt moved yet!). Due to covid and recent changes in regulations it has become almost impossible to get this done. The rumors here in San Diego is if you are even thinking of doing anything in the next decade get the permits NOW! And friends in the building department say that is exactly what people are doing.
How does my experience differ dramatically from Disney, I am not the counties largest employer and tax payer. I do not have a multi billion dollar developer managing my project. This is the first and last project I will ever build in California!
All this said they may still be pushing plans through that may or may never get done. I am sure just like us watching the building plans so is every other amusement/theme park. I wouldn't pass up the idea of them throwing fake ideas out there. Its cheap to submit plans, its expensive to get them approved!
