Please do not jump on me, but my friend is taking a trip to WDW and only drinks Pepsi. I know WDW is all COKE. But is there anywhere on property you can get a Pepsi?

Nowhere on property. Will you have access to a car? If you're not flying, pack it. If you are flying, MAYBE the airport will sell Pepsi products when you land. Stock up before heading to WDW.

I read somewhere, maybe here, that a quest asked where they could get a Pepsi in WDW. A cast member informed they that only Coke products were sold at WDW The quest insisted with a cast member that surely they sell Pepsi somewhere in WDW. The cast member then told the quest to try fantasyland. Not sure if it’s true but it is a good story.

Is that like a Canadian Low, which is not to be confused with a Mexican High?

-dave
It's a Coke produced in Mexico, where the plants were never converted over to using HFCS, and they still use real sugar instead. Down here in the deep south, it's all the rage.

I can't get it where I live (just part of "the comfort and the horror" of living in a small town), but it seems to be flying off the shelves in Atlanta, and apparently, they can't truck it across the border fast enough. Not worth driving 2 hours to the ATL to get it, but my sister will bring me some when she comes over for Thanksgiving. Yay!

You can google "mexican coca-cola" and see all kinds of hype about it.

What is a Canadian Low?

best thing for your friend to do would be to buy his own and keep it in the hotel ... there's a WalMart on rt 535 about 5 miles away ... there's also a Publix grocery store just past hotel row where it intersects 535

My poor Pepsi loving, won't touch Coke, 6 yr old had to drink Sprite when we were there. We did take some Pepsi with us but kept it in the fridge at the resort. He is so funny about it too. When we go out to eat (about the only time he drinks pop) he will ask if they have Pepsi. If they don't he'll say "I don't touch Coke".

I suggest that your friend either bring his/her own or stops somewhere to get it before getting to the resort.

Heading for the great escape.
Am I getting this straight?
Some people may have to go without their favorite sugar water (aka soda pop) for a week?????????
What happens if they start losing weight, looking better, and living healthier??????
OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH THE HUMANITY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Some people can get upset over anything, from twinkling fairy lights breaking to the type of cloud dwelling space zombie they prefer to pontificating how others should live. Free choice is a pain is it not.

Let me guess, you are too young to recognize a George Carlin Hippy Dippy Weatherman quote when you see one. :)

Well, I wish I were that young; unfortunately, I think we're the same age. But I just never got into his weatherman schtik. I very much enjoyed his later stuff with the "words," comparisons to Richard Pryor, etc. Funny guy!

Now, I don't believe you've gotten my "the comfort and the horror" reference.....
Actually, the exact line was: "that is the comfort, and that is the terror"..... It probably can't be googled, though, so good luck.

His "7 words" stuff was the same time as Al Sleet. In fact I think they were both on his "Class Clown" album.

Comfort & Terror - Andy Rooney ?

Hmmm. Thought I recalled seeing clips of GC doing the weatherman thing back when he was a more straight-laced kind of guy in a conservative suit, in the days of the Tonight Show still in black-and-white.

Okay, speaking of conservative.... Andy Rooney? Seriously? The very idea that I would be going around quoting Andy Rooney......wow.

I'll give you a half point for recognizing that it's someone who does social commentary, but think of the opposite end of the spectrum. As in NPR......

Ever hear of Ian Shoales?

Nope, can't say that I have.

Just cause it's from Andy Rooney does not mean it's not a good quote.

The closing of a door can bring blessed privacy and comfort - the opening, terror. Conversely, the closing of a door can be a sad and final thing - the opening a wonderfully joyous moment.

I am no great Andy Rooney fan myself, but if a food item tastes good, I don't thow it away because I don't like the picture on the wrapper.
