What?
I believe that was an attempt at a joke.
What?
We tried it last week. The food wasn't bad, we had the chicken fajitas and the chicken burrito, neither was overly spicy but was still edible.. tamer than fast food taco places probably would give the food a 3 stars out of 5.... But the desserts were utter crap. Wouldn't give them a single star. We had the churros and the sopapillas, the churros were stale and tough, the sopapillas were well I'm not sure what they were... It seems like they thought sopapillas were supposed to be made out of croissant dough as that is the closest thing I can come up with to describe them. They were very flakey which a sopapilla isn't supposed to be, very small and covered with powdered sugar... didn't see any honey to put inside them but given their small size I'm not sure of the point... If you go there don't waste your money on the desserts they were bad, food was okay though.Just saw where Pecos is revamping its menu. I am very excited. They are moving away from the burger and fries thing to a more Mexican menu. I'm interested to know what you think and if anyone else has heard other details.
Pecos topping bar is what you would find in a fast food mexican place... salsa, peppers, onions cheese... though the one thing I didn't see that they really needed was chips... what's the point of a salsa if you don't have any chips? Not sure what you mean. Pecos has a toppings bar, doesn't it? You get a plain burger and dress it up yourself. Is this not rue any more? Maybe someone else could weigh in.
They are available as a $3.99 side.Pecos topping bar is what you would find in a fast food mexican place... salsa, peppers, onions cheese... though the one thing I didn't see that they really needed was chips... what's the point of a salsa if you don't have any chips?
Are they listed on the menu anywhere? We didn't recall seeing them listed anywhere. They are available as a $3.99 side.
It rather unhelpfully just says "chips"Are they listed on the menu anywhere? We didn't recall seeing them listed anywhere.
That's interesting. We were there last week, and I'm almost positive Chips weren't even listed. I recall looking specifically at the 'sides' menu, as I just wanted a snack, but didn't see them. Though I only looked once, and it was dinner time. So maybe they were temporarily sold out.It rather unhelpfully just says "chips"

We never saw it listed on the menu they hand out. I remember my daughter was looking for sides because she didn't want to eat anything and she didn't see it on the menu card that they have at the register... we were there at lunch time. That's interesting. Seems like the Southwest burger is a permanent addition???Sorry for the bump, but I was curious how the Pecos change was going and what changes if any have happened since the last post.
I did not know that was added. What is it exactly? A slab of meat ( assuming beef) with some salsa and a taco empadro?Seems like the Southwest burger is a permanent addition???
