Paying a fee to cut in line??

Sometimes when I talk to friends who've been to Orlando it's clear they get Disney World mixed up with Universal. That's probably what happened in this case.

When I read the first statement my reaction was the same as yours. At Universal Studios you may/can pay an extra fee to move into a fast pass type line and not have to wait in their regular lines.

I will be sure to say "Hi" to all of you next time as me and my family go to the front of Fastpass on every ride next trip. :D

Am I the only one questioning the validity of this thread, which was started by a person with only 1 post?

I don't care who started this thread or why. It's an interesting discussion & I've enjoyed it.

The VIP guide thing isn't something I'd want to do every day but I'd love to do it at least once in each park if money were no object, of course. Lol! I wonder how customizable the experience is. Like could you say up front "I'm a huge Disney geek! Show me backstage stuff, how things work, feed me history, blow my geeky mind!"??? Imagine seeing the lounges all over Epcot! The old Imageworks! If these types of experiences can be tailored for a private group I think it'd be the ultimate tour to have. That's what I would want. :D

It's extremely customizable (in fact, you have a "consultation" before hand to help design the day), but I'm not sure how much backstage stuff is able to be included.

That said, I haven't seen it mentioned in this thread yet, but the price of the tour guide is on top of admission, of course. Making it even more pricey.

That was part of what we got on our Keys to the Kingdom tour. Lots of history, the windows on Main Street opening automatically to expose the speakers during the parades, the utilidors. the best was a sit down and ask me questions session while backstage at Slash Mountain. Like most people here I can't get enough Disney. This September we even took a detour on our vacation to go to Maceline. Anyway, I can't wait fro our next trip to the World. Another tour is part of the plan.

AEfx - I thought I read that the private tours were tailored to each group. I've always wondered just how tailored they'd go. Wouldn't it be awesome to make it the Disney Geek's dream? That would be worth while if you had enough people to split the cost!

Oh yeah! That's what I'm talkin' about. If they'd be willing to make the tour sorta like Keys but more extensive. Hubby & I did Keys to the Kingdom in May 08. Our boys are itching to be old enough to do it, too. The oldest is aaaaalmost there. Very awesome tour. We thoroughly enjoyed it, too.
