Hello all!

This is supposed to be peak season, and as of 3:30 On Father's Day, the following rides have these waits. What do you think is causing this? It is not raining there. Just seems really quiet for this time of year, and this is supposed to be the busiest time of day!

Tower of Terror: 10 min
Pirates of the Caribbean: 10 min
Spaceship Earth: 5 min
Little Mermaid: 10 min
Dinosaur: 5 min
Nemo: 10 min
Safaris: 15 min

I'm sure it's just a temporary lull, even though one would expect the parks on a Sunday in the middle of summer to be packed. If this isn't just an abnormality, it's good news for my trip this week!
I've been looking at wait times for last week, and they seem to be down! Does look good for you!

Many Northeast schools still have this week to go.

A lot finished last week - at least all my NE friends seemed to be finished up on Friday. Obviously that's not all there, but I would imagine it would depend on snow days and the such. This year didn't seem as bad for some unlike last year when some didn't get out until about the 24th of June :o

Our waits the first week of June were on par for what we had last year. A lot of 5-10 min waits in the beginning and enough smaller waits later in the day to make us happy.

With the APs, FL people get locked out starting that first full week of June if silver and the summer "peak prices" start about the same time too. Since school isn't out for everyone until around the 20th of June crowds don't pick up as quickly as they used to. People would rather go during a fall or winter break if they had one or the like than pay premium prices for summer.

Pandora on the other hand has made AK more busier, particularly since Pandora is new. AK got mobbed on Memorial Day weekend, and we had crowds at MK on the Sunday and Monday of that weekend.

I'm not surprised, especially for those attractions. Just be glad! I know of a family who just got back and mom said it seemed as if everyone was at Pandora and it lightened up all other areas.

I on the other hand went to HWS and Epcot on Wednesday, HWS was busy, not too busy as in crazy though. Epcot was almost dead due to the rain. :)

Most Schools aren't out around here until 6/21 and we didn't have any snow days. That's just the schedule.
Premium summer prices? Um, try spring break, mid-winter break, Christmas break, Thanksgiving break....those are premium prices. :greedy::banghead:

Huh, I think you're one of the last few then. As I said most of my friends had last days Friday. Sorry you are going so long. The vast majority of the US is out for the summer at this point though. We've been out for 3 full weeks now.

I'm talking ticket prices with the peak though, not rooms. Right now this part of the year is considered "peak" so those doing a day trip here or there (and there are those who do that) would wait until later in the summer because they are charging the same as spring break. The rooms are in "summer" prices now - not as expensive as holidays, but more than regular or lower seasons.

We were there for Spring Break (non Easter/Passover weeks) and it was much busier than summer ever has been. People would rather go in Spring than Summer for weather. With all the fall breaks and winter breaks (like Feb) people are going more then as well. Summer has been lightening up for a while I think due to a lot of those factors. I don't mind because I enjoy the 1st week of June in FL :)

After a few 'day trips' it's cheaper to have an AP anyway-Fl. residents, that is. A few more for Non-Residents.

Those one day tickets are crazy.
It's not just FL residents buying them. Those going on a trip to FL decide to add a day in here or there. I've had lots of friends do that.

I agree the 1 day tickets are crazy expensive. I'm glad I can get the gold pass because APs seem insanely high too now - same with park hoppers. Truly I don't mind the increases and black outs or increases for some if means less will be there though ;)

Considering the rides you listed were at multiple parks...i'd say either your phone wasn't updating..or your wifi was humped....I was there Friday (MK) and when I passed by (3:30ish - 6/16) Pirates was 40.

Worth noting that after our drought, we've been hit with a lot of rain in Central Florida the past few weeks. Wait times drop drastically on rainy days.

Summer isn't really peak season anymore though. Touring websites, deals, marketing, and other factors have more or less spread crowds evenly throughout the year, aside from the peaks like spring break, Christmas, holiday weekends, etc.

I just selected some attractions from all parks that had surprisingly low wait times for that time of day, it kept updating after and wait times varied a little but were low.
