You know...these new offerings at DTD make something even more apparent...

Absolutely NOTHING has been done with the club buildings in PI.

I've noticed that also. Disney seems to be really dragging their feet with developing PI... I suspect either A) these additions are just a quick fix, to hold over until the big tenants move into the club locations, or B) Disney really is leaving the club locations for the Imagineers to have the largest creative palette possible.

Maybe both!

By the way, did anyone catch where exactly D-Street is opening? Is it officially where the Planet Hollywood Location used to be?

Yes, D-Street is opening where Planet Hollywood was.

To me, this just shows that they don't have a plan for the place at all. It's almost been 2 years...

Now there is a shocker.:brick: Seems like too much building for such a relatively minor product.

Sheesh

Edit: OK, I actually read the article. Temporary through Fall of 2010. Whew!

Perhaps only until another smaller store front is schedule to go vacant and then they move? That is what happened with the one in DLR DTD. Started off in a temp location until their permanent location was ready and then they moved over.

IT'S Build -a-Bear for boys. You go in and create a remote control car from different parts to choose from. There's one in Downtown Disney in Anaheim. It took over the Department 56 store. A basic car will run you about $120 so it's a bit pricey but I think guests will love it. This seems to be the trend for Disney shops with Bulld-a-Dino, this, and if that Muppet Whatnot Shop ever comes to life it seems guests souvenirs will all have that personal touch.

Just wait. I believe a build your own skateboard/longboard kiosk just opened up at DLR DTD. I can see one of those making its way east if the trend continues. Those seem to be just as expensive too.

Okay, all the stuff from the Nightastic article, we already knew. The thing that's got me wondering is that very last statement. They said...

I'm thinking that here's where the Illuminations tag comes in. Either that, or the name for the Fireworks show, but I doubt it because they said there's PLENTY more. So there should be more then one.

OR maybe some Really awesome and shocking news like the return of Tapestry Of Nations! LOL wishful thinking. That would be a cool addition to Summer Nightastic :)

I was thinking the same thing, the other day. Night parades could be a trendy thing.

*looks at DAK, too.*

I've just checked out their site...and while some kids may like these, they are VERY expensive. Here's my problem...the price! I built a car, added the RC chassis and radio ($25...which means it's uber-cheap garbage), a set of rims, and a set of tires...and the total cost was $90...remember, only $25 of that is the RC portion, so $65 for just an oversize custom Hotwheels car.

I'm not sure about other kids...but I know that my 12 year old would rather spend that sort of money at the Lego Imagination Center.

Thanks. :D AWESOME pics.

I would love to see that pic! I wonder if the drum units are still around as well?

Ok TDO are you listening? We, some of us at least, Want Tapestry back for Summer Nightastic! :)

As far as issues getting around WS, As long as there was One performance of Tapestry, no day time peformance, right before Illuminations then I do not think there would be TO many issues getting around because most guests would stay in the same spot for Illuminations after the parade.

They are now on my Twitter page. :)

I agree. And they could only have one shortened zone from gate, to gate, for the parade, too.
