Parks Audio Collectors

Not starting a thread to ask for any specific audio clips, just wanted to see if there's others here on the forums who also enjoy building a huge collection of parks audio! I have a blast finding new (or better) tracks, cleaning up tags, organizing, creating nice artwork, and constantly finding better source audios. It's been a ton of fun for me, and while I know there's a lot of online resources for listening to music, I love maintaining my own collection. Most online resources or forums specifically for chatting about it seem to be falling by the wayside which is pretty sad

gahhh that’s so impressive!! I’m low on gigs but have around 6500 tracks right now. Just started collecting for the international parks this year too and that’s opening up a whole new door

Oh indeed. I started with Orlando, then some Anaheim, then more, then the more I looked the more I found. Then Paris (an absolute bottomless pit with some of my favourite tracks). Then the Asian parks seriously in the last 5 or so years.

All stemming from when I found Disney central IRC torrents around 2002 🙂

that’s awesome - my challenge is starting to become curating playlists so I can actually enjoy it all now too and not get lost in it all

Yes, I've got collections of parks audio on my music server! But it's very specific things, onride audio and atmospheric music from my favourite attractions and parks basically, those which mean something to me. For example, I have the PotC soundtrack, but not Small World! Not just Disney either obviously, also love music from Alton Towers, Efteling, Europa Park and specificr rides such as Mammut and Fluch von Novgorod.

Also a collector! Lots of old EPCOT of course and a ton of stuff folks recorded in-park. Also the curate-your own CDs from WDW and DL. My favorite find was this import from Japan, with music from WDW and DL (!) including Space Mountain, Indy, Cartoon Spin, Alien Encounter, Spectromagic, the Remember the Magic parade, Illuminations 25 and more:

Long time collector. Long time lurker.

Been collecting since the early 90's. USENET was great. Not even sure how many files or the size. Like @marni1971, it's easily 100's of gigs. Sitting outside EPCOT prior to opening, listening to the Entrance Loop got me hooked. I keep telling myself, this winter I will fix my archive.
Welcome 23 years later, and congrats on the first post

Were any of you around the newsgroups? There were some good people there. Found out along the way there were some imagineers in the mix, some of whom posted tracks in fear they would be lost. Randy Thornton, remember him, spent a great deal of time watching what we were doing. The DL 50th would not have come to be without us. We even pointed out to him the Small World tracks were reversed on the NYWF original collection, can't recall now if it was corrected before release. The DL and WDW Forever kiosks were game changing too. As already mentioned, Tokyo does a phenomenal job releasing tracks.
