Glad the OP is having a great time. But this is nothing new. If you want the one predictably low crowd time, go Labor Day into the first week of September. With school starting Monday for millions of kids, and the rest of the kids newly returned to school in the last few weeks, parents are hesitant to take kids out for a Disney trip. Wish I could go then.

l actually thought it must be new because a lot of the chatter around here is how packed it is all the time, how there is no longer a "slow" period and how the parks are so dirty.

People post pictures of full dirty trash cans all the time, I'm just pointing out at this particular time, the parks are really clean, pretty and low crowds.

Children will continue to return to school the day following Labor Day. So this one small period of time will continue to be a predictably low crowd time despite any craziness going on in the weeks before or after. Enjoy it. You picked a great week to visit.

How has it been today, Sunday? MDE wait times seem a little higher than Friday & Saturday.

Sunday is usually the busiest day for Labor Day Weekend. Last year Friday was dead, Saturday was very avg and then Sunday was actually packed. But starting tomorrow (day of Labor Day) and for the following 3 weeks or so, it is pretty much the slowest time at WDW for the entire year.

Early September is my favourite time to go, waits are pretty low compared to what they were a few weeks prior plus the heat is slightly less than what it would have been at the peak of summer. Though nothing beats Disneyland Paris in winter where everything is a walk on all day every day. :joyfull: Though it is freezing, dark and the parks are only open 8 hours a day which is the compromise you have to make.

Last week the MK was packed. Just goes to show a snap one day survey isn’t accurate.

This park has always been my least favorite park even when it had everything up and running so it's a bit harder to review it without some of that creeping in.

So happily the overall trend of lower crowds seem to be holding but of course everyone and their mama's heads immediately to Toy story land so that area was packed to the gills.
Likes: I like the theme. It's extremely bright and cheerful with lots of primary colors. that definitely appeals to me.
Dislike: way too small imo, I don't like how Disney tries to "funnel" guest into the narrowest of passages. Now I'm a type of "meandering" visitor. lol I took over 200 pictures in HS alone so trying to dodge folks and be considerate of the strollers and wheel chairs makes standing still and getting the full effect very difficult.
Like: Slinky dog coaster. Now let me say I do not compare it to other rides nor do I compare it to what it "could" have been or should have been. It was a lot of fun. my entire crew of 20-25 somethings enjoyed it and the 2 other adult who like me are not fans of coasters really enjoyed it. The ride is very smooth and I thought it was faster the 7DM but I could be mistaken. We had one fast past for it and we did it once on standby. By 3 pm the wait was 55 minutes here.
Dislike: Being an outdoors ride it shut down a few times due to the threat of lightning. whoa baby, lots of unhappy campers. If you had a fast pass you had the option of using it one time anywhere else on any ride or waiting for the ride to come back up. loads of folks simply milling around.
like: lol the Jack Daniels and coke frozen icee. Found this little gem by mistake.

Big like: The green army men where every where and they were fun. We saw the drumline guys twice and a group of acrobatic type entertainers.
Big dislike: Seriously need extra seating around the area.

Tower of Terror had about 35 minute waits
Rock and rollercoaster bounced around, first time we rode it, it was only 25 minute wait. Fantasmic was about 3/4 full

4pm FL time, shots taken right now. Animal Kingdom and Studios have long waits but Magic Kingdom and Epcot appear pretty empty.

How far are you? I wasn't suggesting getting a room that could be expensive

Fort Lauderdale. A good three hours each way. We have an occasion to celebrate, so a room is not out of the question. I found an AP rate at Port Orleans Riverside for $155 for just the one night. Or we could always do a La Quinta for $60 LOL. But I can pay the $155 in Chase points. La Quinta only takes money.
