I think if you book your trip through AAA, parking is free.

If your a resort guest all parking is included on site, Just show your resort ID. or parking placard fron your resort

and everyone wonders why there are never any parking spots at downtown disney...... AND why buses stoped direct service from DTD to the parks....
Loop whole, I know it and not telling. and it still involves parking at DTD.

Heres a parking tip : Try to park in the rear of the parking lot, that way when you leave you can be the first ones out.

Things Change.

Back in the good 'ole days (circa 1994 or '95) when All-Star Sports first opened, I was among the first to visit this resort. Back then, stern warnings were given to guests that they must show their resort cards each time they boarded a bus. At that time, the bus drivers enforced this policy. No card, no ride! I actually observed some folks that were denied bus service because they did not have a resort card. By 1996 and 1997 it was a "sometime" deal. Sometimes they (the bus drivers) checked and most of the time they didn't check. By late 1997 I never saw anyone checked. I also recall a similar deal for the monorail in that a statement appeared on your ticket (?) telling you that you were entitled to "WED" transportation services, but you had to show the ticket if asked by the monorail CM's.

Theme parks at WDW are $6 per day for cars and more for RV's and such (Universal and Sea World both charge $7). Keep you ticket because it is good at all 4 parks once you pay.

Parking at the Water Parks and DTD are free, however, do not park at DTD unless you have to. That parking lot was designed well for the original Disney Village Marketplace, but it was redesigned by morons!

The best two ways to avoid paying for parking are to:

1. Stay at a Disney Resort - parking is free everywhere.

2. Get a Disney Annual Pass or Premium Annual Pass - all parking is free

Also, DVC members can park for free at all DVC resorts.

Heading for the great escape.
1n 2K I got free parking with the 10 day hopper pass available here in the UK, I dont know if that has changed because I had a package last year. But the only people that seemedto know about this feature were the manager of the Disney store wher i got them and the staff at the booths, the Virgin reps in DTD were adamant I d have to pay. I kept wondering about other people who had the tickets and never thought to ask and just stumped up the fees.

Sending them to GR seems somewhat pointless to me, since how can GR judge who is lying or not?

Word...:p
Seriously, the truth is we CAN'T tell, so pretty much anyone who takes the trouble to bring their parking tag to us and fills out the paperwork (which not all CMs bother with) will get their $7 back. (We pretty much have to go on "gut" feelings when dealing with ANY guest situations....)

As it is, I'd say our parking people charge for drop-offs about 50% of the time... We do a LOT of parking refunds for many different reasons (but all refunds are kept on file in our computers, so it cuts down on people taking too much advantage of the system)
