Hey everyone! You guys all give such great advice so im coming to you once again!

Were planning a trip for next spring (2009), this will be for two of us in our early twenties and students, so were looking for the best deal possible.
In purchasing park tickets is it a better deal to purchase them as a package when booking the hotel, from the disney store, or from a reputable website?

The price from the Disney store, direct from Disney via phone or online, at the gate, and in a MYW package will be the same.

If you use a reputable ticket broker, you may save a few dollars per ticket, just watch out for tax and shipping costs.

I have a couple of parts to my answer....
First, a good discount reference source is :
http://www.mousesavers.com/wdw.html
with ticket page: http://www.mousesavers.com/wdwtixdiscounts.html
One reputable ticket selling agent with a bit of a discount is:
http://www.mapleleaftickets.com/

In any case, there is not a significant savings for park tickets outside of the mouse.

Then you can manipulate your ticket price by how you plan your stay.
If you will only do one park per day, do not do a "park hopper"
Ticket "value" depends on your length of stay. You can buy from 1 to 10 days. A one day ticket is about $75 (base), a 10 day ticket (base) is about $240 or $24/day. If you choose parkhopper the 10 day ticket increases to $280, and if you do parkhopper and no expiration the price jumps to $480.

There are other options as well, dining plan, water park and more...all obviously impact the price.

Good comparison tables can be found here:

http://allearsnet.com/pl/ticketchart.htm#MYW1

Bottom line is you can't get much of a discount on tickets, you can minimize the cost by only paying for what you need or plan to do.

Hope that helps.

I should of mentioned as well we will be going for 7days, staying at a value resort (probally pop), but will only need a 5 day ticket, probally with park hopper so we can jump around to see fireworks and stuff.. the other two days will probally be spent a sea world and just laying around the pool relaxing!
