There really isnt any significant "deals" on tickets anywhere.
We just buy em from Disney, YES, you can save a few bucks at undercover tourist (the cheapest anywhere) but it isnt more than just that...a few bucks.
We buy from WDW when we get there and have the park MYW tickets placed on our room key, KTTW is a good way to have everything on one room key.
Now, if i could save say 10.00 or 20.00 on my ticket, then YES, id buy from whomever sells the real thing.
We save so much on our rooms from Disney (via the "firefighter" discount that everyone says disney doesnt offer' but they DO!!!!!, that tickets arent too much of a concern. We save money elsewhere at WDW.
There are a number of reputable ticket resellers out there: TicketMania, Undercover Tourist, Maple Leaf Tickets.
I personally have bought from both TicketMania and Undercover Tourist, and know people who have bought from Maple Leaf. No problems at all.
Shop all three for the specific ticket you're looking for, because if one place has the best price for one ticket, they may not necessarily have the best for another.
Also, tickets purchased from any source that's separate from a vacation package booking (a reseller, your local Disney store, or even a separate ticket purchase from the WDW website) can be added to your room key after you check into your Disney hotel. Just visit the Lobby Concierge desk and they can do it for you. (Though you can't do that for Annual Passes or any Florida Resident tickets)
Try The Least Expensive Ticket Calculator at TouringPlans.com. The site is ran by the Unofficial Guide folks, and all the companies they list are reputable.
All you do is input your data and it will tell you what your cheapest option is.
If I have someone looking for discounted tickets to any of the Orlando attractions I send them to Maple Leaf. They are the ONLY company that I would ever advise someone to go to. I have used them myself for the past 6 years. Omar, Alex and the rest of the staff are wonderful and very professional.
I purchased through Undercover Tourist. Yes, you only save a few bucks, however...
In the unlikely event you can not go on your trip, you can return the tickets for a refund (5% restocking fee) so long as they are still in their original package.
That's a cool site Krankenstein. I'll have to use that in the future.
I always thought discounted tickets were a scam, or involved a time share tour of some sort. Good to know there's some reputable places out there. I've always bought mine at Disney.
Maple Leaf is the way to go. Also if you see anyone sharply discounting tickets (ie 10 day no expiration MYW with park hopping and water parks for $99) there is always a catch.
