I am trying to book a reservation at DTD for the night we arrive. Apparantly, everything is booked. My only options are Fulton's or Paradiso. From what I have seen so far, Paradiso looks better.

Have any of you guys been there? Is the food good? The atmosphere?

We tried Paradiso on our last trip. I liked it a lot. We ate lunch there so it was pretty quiet. We sat outside so the atmosphere was nice. The food was interesting and quite tasty.

The wife and I ate there about a month ago for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. We were walking from the Marketplace side of DTD heading over to Wolfgangs when we saw the menu and the outside seating and decided to try this place instead. We sat outside because it was very nice out.

The music was very loud and made conversation difficult. If this were a Friday or Saturday night, I could understand the loud music, but it was a lazy Saturday afternoon.

We ordered our food, I got the tacos and my wife ordered the chicken quesadillas. The prices were a little high, and so our expectations must have slightly been raised.

The food came out after a short wait and we started eating. My tacos were very very small and not good at all. The meat was dry, and the rice didnt taste very good at all. The only thing I really liked were the black beans, so I filled the tacos with black beans and ate. My wife's quesadillas were tiny. They were good, but the portion was almost laughable. Especially for the price.

Our service was fine, the outside seating was nice, the tea was good... however we will not be returning for a meal. I am glad we tried it though. I could however see us going back one evening for drinks, chips and guacamole, and maybe an appetizer.

Think for yourselfer
We tried Paradiso at night on my last trip. It was a gorgeous night outside, but unfortunatly at the time they were allowing smoking out on the deck.:hurl::hurl: So we wound up eating inside. The music was insanly loud, and the food was stunningly mediocre. The only saving grace is the drink selection, and that they serve pitchers of beer, which I happen to love. :ROFLOL:

My advice: For dinner try someplace else. For drinks and a night out, give it a shot.

We had lunch there in December. I agree with the other posters that the music was too loud, especially for mid-day... and the restaurant was empty.
We had 3 or 4 different appetizers and thought the food was good, but overpriced and small portions. The drinks however were awesome! I had the sangria-margarita which I still consider the highlight of my trip.
