That price point is just insane. I was pricing out mid-week in June at the Grand and it's $800+/night. Insane.

Back when galaxys edge was opening I booked paradise pier so I could get guaranteed entry. I think it was around 350 a night for 3 nights. Wound up getting a call that they were overbooked and that I was getting upgraded to the Grand californian. Best 1000 bucks I've spent on a hotel.

Paradise Pier isn't even in a good position. It's across the street from DLR on the back side of DCA.

For that price, you get to walk beyond the full length of Downtown Disney in order to reach the parks. The Monorail is not an option.

Walking from PPH to the parks is needlessly drawn out. You can cut through GGH on the way back, but not going to the parks. You have to walk north to the far west side of DTD and then through the whole length of it to get to the Esplanade.
I wish the hotel still had its private entrance to DCA.
