Updated with direct link to Disney Parks Blog. Just for fun, I looked at room rates for July 13-15th, mid week....$435/night for cheapest available room. Holy buckets.

That price point is just insane. I was pricing out mid-week in June at the Grand and it's $800+/night. Insane.

I'm afraid I'm unaware of any Trader Sam? Who?
He's the character that is mentioned by name only and is employed by Alexa Falls.

Just like Tim Horn who used to operate an expedition on a mountain that later was named after him.

For that price, you get to walk beyond the full length of Downtown Disney in order to reach the parks. The Monorail is not an option.

Walking from PPH to the parks is needlessly drawn out. You can cut through GGH on the way back, but not going to the parks. You have to walk north to the far west side of DTD and then through the whole length of it to get to the Esplanade.

I wish the hotel still had its private entrance to DCA.
