Paradise Park

So, in all the hubbub over Pixar Pier's "nothing new but we will tell you its new anyway" pier redo, we are missing one thing. What is this odd land called Paradise Park? With Mermaids, a Farm and Flight School owned by an animated dog, A mermaid adventure and lots of food??????

Paradise Pier was a weak land. But at least all this sort of worked then. Now its all just a mess.

I keep imagining we could make that area the Embacadaro of San Francisco with some work (and Mystic Manor replacing sky school and the 2 dining locations). Add this to renaming the Wharf to Pier 39 and we are on the way to a VERY tiny San Francisco salute (finally ) in the park.

Not sure what you mean by finally having a San Francisco salute as SF is referenced many times in DCA:

Boudin Sourdough
Ghirardelli
Golden Gate Bridge in DCA 1.0
Golden Dreams facade was a replica of the Palace of Fine Arts (TLM rotunda is still a reference to the Palace of Fine Arts)
Not to mention all the winery references to the Bay Area.
And while not directly in SF, but just across the Bay in Emeryville is the Pixar Studios location.

And I'm sure there are other references to SF all over the place.

I meant a REAL ("real") theme area. Not just little references here and there.

Pacific Wharf is basically a themed representation of the entire San Francisco Bay Area. Everything from Napa Valley all the way down to Cannery Row in Monterrey. So I'm not sure what more you want.

So what is Disney going to do if we decide to split the state in three at the next election? They could name it Disney Tri-State Area Adventure.

OP, I don't know when the last time you visited SF was but it should not be recreated anytime, anywhere for any reason. SF should get a Disney make over.

Are the streets of San Francisco really covered in poop and needles or is that just an internet joke?

I like the idea, I remember a while back after DCA opened, i did a quick sketch and realized that they actually could have fit most of New orleans square in the north west corner area and still be able to include a good chunk of the Pirates how building. That is what they should have done during the remodel. A seaside village with shops and a fun family ride. To help with sitelines and better use of the land they could have gone verticle and created a usable second floor with a nice dining experience that overlooked the busy village below
