Parade Music?? Help!

I have a version of the Spectromagic parade music that's only 7 minutes long start-to-end (that a friend passed along to me) and I saw the parade back at the beginning of January and this version I have doesn't have the Little Mermaid, Genie, or any of the floats except the Fantasia ones. Actually, it features a section with Roger Rabbit and Goofy which wasn't even in the parade when I saw it. The beginning and end seem the same...

My question is... is the version I have the DisneyLAND version? Or just an older version? What version is on the Spectromagic CD?

Any help would be appreciated!

The version you have is the old version of Spectro, with Roger Rabbit saying the same thing as Genie says in the new version.

The CD you can purchace today has the new version on it and has the whole show on it.

Downloading music to which you do not have the copyright to is illegal and is frowned upon

*cough*
however, just do a quick search on the media forums and don't mention that question again:D

Don't know how true this is but I was told by a cast member the last time the Main Street Electrical Parade was at the Magic Kingdom that Spectromagic was ment to go to Disneyland. However the 'roads???' in the park are much narrower and so the parade units would not have been able to move through the park. Anyone else know anything about this?

I actually have a Spectormagic CD that I bought in WDW a few years ago that is 14:19 minutes long, it has the entire parade. That is the only thing on the CD and it is called Spectromagic Parade. I could try to call WDW Merchandising (407) 363-6200 and ask if they still have it and buy it that way.

you have been misinformed ;)

Disneyland had lightmagic, which flopped... and many CM's at WDW confuse it with Spectromagic

and what a flop it was.......LOL I still remember the re-openning night for Spectro in 2001. CRAZY lol

The new SpectroMAgic is amazing! I love Sebastian.

I never got to see the Main Street Electrical but downloaded the music last night. It sounds so 70's techno! whats with the weirdo robot and the cicus music? It's freaky. I'm so glad they changed it!

The current version is for sale in a number of the park stores, and should, therefore, be able through telephone order number mentioned above.

Yes, the Main Street Electrical Parde was 70s techno. That's why some of us love it! And why we'd do anything to get it back to Florida!!!

Frankly, I haven't seen the new version of Spectro, to protest the loss of the Main Street Electrical Parade. But I found the old version of Spectro to be "ploddingly magestic", unlike the wonderful Baroque Hoedown (sp?) that forms the core of MSEP and is the snappiest, most wonderful piece of music I've heard! Oh, I miss that parade sooo much!

I guess, to each his or her own!

BTW, the circus music was from Dumbo.

I remember seeing Light Tragic at DL, it was one of the worst parades and who would have thought something with glittering fiber optic lights would be so bad. The worst thing about it was that the parade stopped at one point and their were performers which you would think sounds great, however, there were only two spots in the park where you could view this, so imagine everyone going to see the parade trying to cram into these two spots. It was nothing like the way they did the Remember the Magic Parade where there were many points to see the performances. The floats were not that interesting, nothing compared to Spectro and ELP. This was definitely a costly mistake for disney, I know generally to get their money out of a parade, they need to run it a minimum of three years.
