Some GOOD Points

Don't forget Millennium Village, the abandoned/underutilized areas of Innoventions East/West, and the lagoon areas at Italy and France that are frequently off-limits for corporate events. Add to that the idled shops in Canada and the second floor of Imagination. Plus the 'behind the berm' area that could be accessable from Germany. Lots of abandoned infrastructure that could be some type/any type of attraction.

:(:(:( yet another piece of classic WDW vanished...

all i wanted was to experience the (remaining) atmosphere and decor one last time (haven't visited since 1996)...

i wouldn't be so devastated if i felt i could trust the WDW "powers that be" to replace WoL with something as charming and memorable -- but i think we all know that once a classic leaves (e.g. Horizons) it's lost for good, and not necessarily for the better.

...i think i'll go cry in a corner now...

i suppose this news isn't so much a surprise -- just one definite step closer to WoL's demise

I cannot believe that for the first time in my life, last night I actually had a dream about WOL. I was with a large group which had gotten into the park early in the morning, and after waiting in line outside for a bit we were finally let in. The interior had been turned into a large, cluttered gift shop, with various plywood barriers scattered about blocking now-useless portions of the pavilion. And in the back, the one remaining attraction, Body Wars, still operating but looking as though its main entrance had been bombed in some ghastly four-day war. For any New Englanders, the gift shop which constituted the entirety of the pavilion resembled the local discount retailer Building 19 in its organization and quality.

It's so sad that one pavillion won't be here to "Celebrate Today" RIP Wonders of Life.
