Pandora Jewelry coming to Walt Disney World with products and sponsorship of Wishes

The pandora phase is way past here as well, I am seeing them at resale shops for 40.00 or so for a decently filled bracelet. My Mom and MIl who have bracelets and charms with attached memories are over them and never wear them anymore. I spefically asked my Mom about her because my kids picked about a few and she says it is sitting in her jewelry box. Not my taste at all and have never wanted one.
Am I the only one who doesn't buy merchandise? 15 trips, 13 with kids and we have purchased...
15 ornaments
Stroller fan, ours broke mid trip
Pacifer, tossed into Buzz by older brother
Hand towels for our Mickey Bathroom
Sunglasses, broke in AK
*my MIL did get our kids toys once in DTD
But yeah for wishes:) couldn't they have don an EPCOT pavillion instead?

I think the world would be better off if we just collected our own fruits and nuts and killed our own meat and hoped like hell the fire never went out in our cave because corporations and businesses have done nothing to promote the advancement of the human race.
No way. If I was out picking fruit and killing things instead of working for a corporation when would I find time to do research for my fantasy football draft or for that matter post on a Disney forum;)

It wasn't spelled out in the news release, but does anyone know if there will be unique items specific to WDW or DLR that will only be available for purchase in the parks? Having Mickey and Minnie charms available everywhere is nice, but I think they could clean up if they offered WDW specific unique merchandise.

Any corporate sponsorship money is a positive for WDW. I'd rather have Pandora pay for upgrades to Wishes vs me paying with higher prices.

So, what will this mean for seasonal shows? I’m not talking about July 4th, that's pretty complete. Any chance Hallo and Holiday Wishes will go back to full strength? How much pull/say does Pandora have in Wishes? Will it have to stay another 10 years since that contract is that long or will Pandora push them to change it? I’ve never understood how these sponsorships work, do you need to get permission from them to make a change? Also, why would MK ask Pandora for Wishes? Unless they need the money/push for a new show?

so what does that mean for Alex and Ani? Out of the parks? I don't get the bracelets either (my sister and mother have millions of Alex and Ani's) but I'm not a girl so....

and Wishes sponsored by Pandora :hilarious:, I don't get the connection. But what does that mean for a new firework show?

Alex and Ani is the new 'fad' after Pandora. Its headquarters is a couple miles away from me but the main business is bracelets or charms or whatever you want to call them but only 1 per bracelet, you can't fit more. They also have coffee and tea shops. They bought a vineyard and a mansion in RI. Basically, the company is trying to expand into different things beyond jewelry.

You know what's funny?
Don't see this mentioned anywhere yet from what I can tell. In case anyone was interested, Pandora stores will be launching their Disney charms on October 31st.

hmmm....interesting. I also thought the fad had come and gone. But I guess some stay longer. No idea on the Alex and Ani deal.

I pretty much just wear my wedding set and a watch.

That's where I saw it. The hat and the blue charm aren't online though. I think they may be park exclusive?

Right, the online offerings are limited as they are with most new releases. Over time Disney tends to sprinkle in a few park items, but they don't tend to stay online for long.

It would be nice if they'd allow us to use some of those holiday coupons the website is well known for on these.

I found a coupon that worked if you have a disney visa card. Its DRVCMEMBER $10 off of 50.
