Pal Mickey

Hi Heather!

We have one. We really get a kick out of it! Especially my kids do, but I must admit I do too. We go to WDW every year so it is always fun to locate him to remember to take him on our trip. He also has a game mode that way when you are waiting in line or on the bus back to you resort you can play it on game mode. On our last trip my DD got a little rain jacket for him because it was really rainy. Up until this last trip I had no idea you could get clothes for him.

My only complaint is that he is a little heavy and hot to carry in the warmer months. On those days we usually just put him on the stroller or hooked on the backpack.

I don't know how other people feel but this is just my personal experience.

We bought one for our kids on their 1st trip in 2006 & they used it a good bit.
We took him on our trip last year, but the kids didn't feel like lugging him around.
He will probably stay at home this year - maybe.

my aunt bought one for my kids, 3 and 5. we did take it in '07. the kids liked it alot but also felt it was heavy to carry around. also, we couldn't hear a thing mickey was saying to us. it was just to loud in the parks.
just my thoughts.

had one used it once sold it on ebay.
too heavy, didnt hear it when he had something to say, really wasnt very helpful at avoiding queues for rides, just got cumbersome. a smaller one would be more useful.
wouldnt recommend it

We purchased one on our 1st trip w/ our kids in 2006.
We used it quite frequently on that trip.
We took it back on our trip last Sept. & my kids took it to the park for one day.
No one wanted to hold him or even carry him using the carrying strap.
So, he stayed in our hotel room for most of our trip.
We actually sold him on e-bay a couple of months ago for about 3/4 of what we paid for him, so we got our $'s worth.
Needless to say, we won't have one for this trip, but it was a good investment when you compare the time that we used him to the $ we got back on him.
He's actually pretty fun if you feel like carrying him around.

It's strange..I haven't heard too much about Pal Mickey lately..Around 2005 during HCOE he was a big hit..After that he somehow faded away when the proposed Nintendo DS project was coming then that faded it out as well. Do they even have a new one with his YOMAD outfit or is it still the same?...Last time I saw him he was in his sorceror attire.

i am 21 and i think he is worth it but only if you are willing to carry him and listen to him when he talks(he tends to get ill tempered if you dont listen to him)

I always take mine with me, i even have most of the costumes for him.

We go on Safari together at AK, and he wears is Santa sute for Xmas :xmas: and his pirate suite for the Pirates and Princesses party.

I think he's great, if you have a youngling with you, then there's no reasons to doubt the purchase, they are idea for kids say above 4 years.

But im 25 and I love him, and take him all the time, even to DLRP where he does nothing but make the French look at me like I'm a little odd.
