We're aware, but for some reason the gaps are more notable for PTN compared to MSEP (mainly the original incarnations) and other Disneyland parades. The gaps was also present in the original Hong Kong version. The large gaps are to facilitate guest crossings at key points (halfway down Main Street, top of the hub, Matterhorn way, by iasw)
Speaking of the avengers e ticket ride, I really hope they show off more about it soon at that upcoming wdw event. Especially an estimated opening date would be nice. Because we have already been waiting for it since 2019, I don’t want to have to wait 5 more years for itI'm pretty sure that the Avengers show's closure was likely influenced by construction directly behind the Avengers HQ and it's about ease of access off the building. If, once the 2 Avengers attractions are open, the show doesn't return, then its an entertainment cut.
This! I'm surprised none of the interactive stuff is back for the 70th.They did try the same interactive stuff with the "Glow with the Show" merch, I have a pair of those ears and remember them working with PtN back during the 60th (and WoC). They even had their own version of the brush, it was a wand held by a Sorcerer Mickey hand. It would do the same thing as the brush. I can't remember if it had any effect in changing the lighting effects, but they did all interact with each other. I remember kids having the wand and would change the colors of the ears around them, it was fun to watch. I wish they would bring them back.
According to a few Instagram reels I've seen, the glow with the show merch reportedly still works! This! I'm surprised none of the interactive stuff is back for the 70th.
What would be really interesting to see is if the 60th interactive merch still works with the parade today.
Can anyone test this?
How come they have a show stop sequence for it at the overseas Disney park, but here at Disneyland they never enabled it? It was before magic bands were here at Disneyland, and they were selling interactive merch for the parade. The overseas one had a show stop where you’d actually get to “paint the night” and change the colors of the lights with your glowing paintbrush.According to a few Instagram reels I've seen, the glow with the show merch reportedly still works!
The newer MagicBand+ effects that interact with the nighttime entertainment actually seem to use the same technology as glow with the show
Timing was a large factor. Usually, you’ll need to do multiple show stops to ensure the majority of guest can witness what’s occurring. I think disneyland usually aimed for 3. Doing that would add time to the overall parade time, which leads directly into fireworks. How come they have a show stop sequence for it at the overseas Disney park, but here at Disneyland they never enabled it? I was wondering if it was just never enabled here or they cancelled it last minute
That's great to hear, curious if this was intentional or just already built in to the floats.According to a few Instagram reels I've seen, the glow with the show merch reportedly still works!

I would assume its a combination of both. I know that specifically for the MB+ one of the features they market is the interactive abilities. As they haven't marketed the "Glow with the Show" merch in a long time, that is just a byproduct of the floats and the RFID technology (I believe that is what is being used) built into both and still in use. That's great to hear, curious if this was intentional or just already built in to the floats.
‘Glow with the show’ is such better branding than whatever they’re calling it now. ‘Magic band interactivity’ or something
Saw this reel which has a rare Disney parade fail.
Interesting the performer walks off instead of keep going. Maybe they were shocked?
Although the other CMs and managers want the performer to pick up the light to continue since it's right at the end already.

It's literally one person."The show must go on" Seems to be a concept lost on this new generation of entertainers.
It's literally one person.
The entire parade did not spontaneously walk off into the darkness.
