I really hope the Japanese is correct on all this signage; getting flashbacks to the 7 Rings tattoo debacle with Ariana Grande.
Out of curiosity and because they’ve made so many mistakes in plain English lately, I just translated them all, but what does Salt & Sea Bucking Company mean? Hope they didn’t buck that one up.

This is the perfect Friday afternoon post! Thank you for the laugh!

Something tells me that with thousands of native Japanese speakers and Kanji readers living in SoCal, eventually someone is going to figure out they made a mistake. I can only hope and pray they misspelled the world "Trucking" in Kanji, and not a different word. 🤣 🤣 🤣

This is a good summation and all true. It’s just odd. I’m about as big a tree/ green/ planter lover (esp at Disneyland) as you ll find and for whatever reason the majority of DCA (outside AC and whatever Grizzly Peak Airfield was called before) has never felt lacking in trees. You’d think it would smack me in the face when walking over from Disneyland but I’ve already theorized why that’s probably the case for me. I’ll add that having Tree heaven/ Grizzly Peak in the middle of the park probably adds to the perception as well.

I get the same feeling with parts of Galaxy's Edge as DCA. So I think its the width of the paths combined with lack of visual interest.

Like the stretch between Rise and the market just feels so flat and bland, even with trees and such around. The entire land feels more dead due to the overly wide paths and those giant paths and stretches of nothing throughout DCA makes me get bored walking around.

For instance, if I leave Grizzly peak near Mermaid, the waterfront from Mermaid to Screamin's west Helix is kind of a dud for me. The same with the central walkway past Carthay and towards Carsland. I haven't been since Avengers Campus, so it might be different now, bit aside from the waterfall photo opp to one side, the space felt bland and empty. Which is crazy considering that is essentially like walking past the Castle in Disneyland. Walk to the park weenie (Carthay and Castle) and continue to the reveal of....a path rather than Fantasyland. It would be like if we walked through the castle and were in the corridor between Alice and Matterhorn. It would feel lackluster with that build up.

IMO Disney's newest lands (Avenger's Campus, Galaxy's Edge, Toy Story Land) all suffer (quite needlessly) from a severe lack of trees/shade. But yeah, I'd agree that the overly wide paths of Galaxy's Edge (especially the stretch you've identified) present an additional obstacle to immersion and any feeling of being lived-in.

1000%. Great synopsis of the issue. Such a critical part of the park, yet they've [Paul Pressler, I guess?] dropped the ball completely. Not even sure how to fix it at this point, but yeah, it feels like a core structural issue at that park.

This area is a bit of a mess right now. Ghirardelli had one register open for everything (ice cream, and gift shop) so you can’t just run in and buy some chocolates. The taco stand food isn’t nearly as good as used to be, and there are super long lines cause you’re supposed to mobile order.

It used to be a fun place to visit with good food and live entertainment

Oh no, the birria isn't good anymore? That was always good. Never cared for any of their other usually cold tacos.

All they have now are “street tacos” - which is another word for “very small tacos” - and they aren’t very good at all.

I used to LOVE the veggie burrito there - the food has gone downhill so much that I think the food at WDW is better now. :(

I just checked. Looks like they still have the Birria tacos.
