"Overdoin' it? Why yes I am" Pre-trip report for June '11

This is my first attempting at pre-trip reporting so I hope y'all will be kind. My family (self34, DH34, DD15, DD9) will be visiting the mouse between 7th and 20th of June. It'll be DH and DD9's first visits and DD15's second time; me, I'm on my fourth tour. Since it's the first real vacation we've had in ages I may have gone a teensy bit overboard with the planning but since the family was happy to give me carte-blanche with the decision making, I ran with it.

We arrive in Orlando around 10:30pm after spending roughly 24 hours in transit  from Sydney so our first night will be kind of a write-off. Based on that I booked us for 1 night at the Wilderness Lodge (bunk room) and 12 nights at the Polynesian (dream come true!) on the DxDP.

I had to allow for one full "Potter" day for my mad muggle daughter and one non-mouse day for DH who loves to skateboard (and was horrified to learn he couldn't -anywhere- on property). I've also tried to schedule some alternatives to the parks and downtime since 13 days at full speed in the Florida heat will cause meltdowns of every kind.

Here's my plan; let me know what you think.

I think your strategy is absolutely brilliant lol. There's absolutely no reason to go park open to park close every day when you're going for 13 days. The down time will be a gift from heaven for your feet, your sweat glands, and your nerves. The day off after MK EMH is probably the best decision of your trip. Really solid ADR choices as well. You're gonna have a blast!

I like your strategy. With you having plenty of days there I see no reason not to be able to enjoy a day or two of relaxation...we try and do it whenever we are there for an extended part of time...

I think you guys are going to have a fabulous time and I look forward to hearing all about it!

Looks like you are going to have a fun-filled vacation and make some great memories. My biggest regret on my trips is that I didn't take enough pictures so don't be afraid to shoot away.
