Outlet shopping

Am I the only one that somehow tears myself away from Disney long enough to go shopping at the great Orlando outlets?

We go back next year (8th time) and I must confess that I am fired up to go to the outlets that are so close by.

Is there anyone else who goes to Disney during the days and the Outlets at night? And what do you love? We don't have many good outlets where I live so they are my part two of the DW trip.

What about the new Vera Bradley outlet and the Kipling outlet too? For us handbag lovers.

Definitely do not go to the outlets when I'm at WDW! Lol! Not a huge shopper in general but even if I was, we have plenty of them in NJ.

Seems like a suspicious post to me. This person just joined and is posting about how great a couple of the specific outlets are. I might be mistaken, but to be safe, I've reported this to the mods as potentially just a sneaky way of posting just to advertise.

I can go to outlets any time less than an hour from home in NY. I would never in a million years tear myself away from Disney to shop off property!

Yeah we always make time to hit the outlets. The Disney outlet stores there have some real gems too...got a few things that I passed on the year before at over 50%. Disney parks merch not "standard" Disney store stuff.

Not suspicous or advertising-Just curious

I wasn't trying to get on the wrong side of the Contemporary bed with anyone,:p but was wondering if anyone else out there ever takes time from the parks to go spend money outside of Disney.

Didn't mean to step on any Mouse toes just curious about what other people do besides Disney. And, yeah, I like handbags.....

I live just a few minutes away from one of the largest outlet malls in the US (and I rarely go there) so when I go to WDW that is where I stay.

Did you know a lot of the companies make cheaper stuff to be sold specifically at their outlets?

Sorry about that. I clearly jumped to a conclusion and I apologize. I think what raised an eyebrow for me was that you mentioned a specific brand name and it gave me the impression maybe you were trying to sell it (that happens on here sometimes) and also because you just joined (common when it's spam). My apologies.

To answer your question though, no I'm kind of like many of the others on here in that I have outlet malls where I live so no need to visit them when I'm on vacation (also not a huge outlet mall person to begin with).

We are from Canada, where we get ripped off everything we buy compared to our southern neighbors. I totally have a whole day planned just for shopping (right after breakfast at Chef Mickey's). We will probably go on some nights too.

I lost 40 lbs in the past year :sohappy: so I need to buy a whole new fall/winter wardrobe, and we usually get a lot of my son's school clothing at the outlets too. We have to bring an empty suitcase just to bring everything back home! :brick:

Make sure you sign up for the VIP club at the Orlando Premium outlets, that way you can print out some coupons to use at the stores and a voucher for a VIP coupon booklet. Also, as someone else mentioned, you can find some good deals at the Disney outlets too.

I live in Central Florida, and we usually make a trip to the Premium Outlets at least once a month! If you're looking for Disney merchandise make sure to check out the Disney Store there. I have found some nice shirts that I've seen for sale in the parks, but were at a much cheaper price!

We have outlets about a half from my house. I go on vacation to do and experience what I cannot here. That said outlets are a no go for me.

If someone really enjoys something, they work it into a vacation - even if they can do the same at home.

I have several in-laws who golfed every weekend while still working, and do so almost daily now that they're retired. Yet every family reunion revolves around daily golf, and they have visited many areas without seeing anything more than golf courses. They were even looking for courses while touring Europe, and would have given up a day of sightseeing to play.

So, if someone is a shopper, a day shopping is not unusual, just as a golf fanatic would feel that playing one of the WDW courses is a must.

I appreciate you response and must admit I didn't think about brands before I even said it I just got excited as we don't have the same stuff here in NC as in Orlando FL. Thanks for keeping me on task as a new blogger. I'm learning....

I will be a better more Disney-minded blogger from now on! I love to shop Disney-Emporium and MouseGear are top too!
