I think the confussion here is that the princess's name is Anastasia. Much like the fable of the lost Romanov.
Sleepy Beauty could arguablt be a Russian or Polish Princess as well. Interpreted based upon the ballet by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky.
Her name isn't Anastasia either, her name is simply Anna.

So its sounding like its NOT official that the characters are moving into the stave church, but the stave church will be updated with a brand new exhibit. This is good if thats the case. I dont think they could fit both the meetngreet and a new exhibit in that space. We dont have confirmation of the exact location of the characters right?
Why is it just the two princesses though why isnt sven (is that the dudes name?) appearing also? He has a cool outfit. This is what is annoying about some of the meetngreets its princess only overkill.
Sven is the reindeer! and that would be a little hard to do lol, The guy's name is Kristoff, and I am sure somewhere down the line he will show up!

If you read the inside the magic article it says they will appear along side a gallery, so its possible this is is still going to occur in the stave church.

So three days ago the Stave church at Norway in Epcot got closed down and all signs of there being a viking exhibit in there is now gone. It seems like Disney is putting the Princess Anna from Frozen into the stavechurch instead of the gift shop. This means the end of the authentic Norwegian viking exhibit thats been there for about 10 years.

Yeah, I noticed. I was there Friday. The church was closed. Bummer

whats dumb is there is no signage or anything pointing to the building being closed, other than the door being locked. They still have the welcome come on in sign up.

On the other hand, there was never much signage telling you the building was open.

But, what was the exhibit before the vikings came there say when it opened in 1988?

It was a wonderful, informative exhibit on the stave churches of Norway. It had artifacts from and pictures of the real things, in Norway. It showed their history and significance. And it was quiet and peaceful, a nice place inside WDW.

Although the viking exhibit was nice, it really did not fit entirely. I really like the stave church exhibit. I learned somethiing and had a nice respite when I visited it.

...and ...the A/C system was perhaps the best functioning in all of Epcot!!

The last store in Norway (as you exit the ride) is closed as of this morning? More Frozen stuff???
If I read this right, that would be The Puffin's Roost. That is actually where the M&G will be not the stave church. This has been reported on several sites. Ten pages of angst based on wrong info, people shouldn't jump to conclusions.

There will be a M&g in the shop, and a Frozen exhibit in the Stave Church. I myself have mixed, almost contradictory feelings about it:

In itself I am not opposed to any animation exhibit in the church. After all, it is pretty much what they have in Japan too, an exhibit that shows how Norway and Norse (Japanese) mythology inspired modern animation. Could be quite cool actually. In fact, it is great to see them replace exhibits every decade or so.

But the final result is that Norway will now have princesses in its restaurant, cartoon characters m&g in the shop, and a cartoon exhibit in the exhibition space. It is just too much. It remains to be seen if this Frozen stuff is temporary. If not, Norway will end up being used as some sort of Fantasyland, some quasi-mediaeval European backdrop for princessy stuff. It is just not what WS should be about. Norway is more than drunk daddies dropping off their daughters to a Belle meet and eat while they oggle the blond girls.

Not that anyone would have noticed or cared, but the Norway film was down today as well. Doubt that means anything.
