Out of the Darkness?....A list of WDW "fixes"

Not sure if this is old news or not but I just came back and ALL the side scenes on CoP seemed much much brighter. You can make out the upcoming scene without any eye strain.

I rode the other day and noticed that too, but I don't think that's supposed to be that way is it? The way it's currently lit, you can see right through the scrim and see the scene before its supposed to be active.

So here goes...
May 2013 (20th or 21st)-Laser portals effect, reintroduced

For the record - not that it's all that important - but the lasers were introduced earlier than this (as long as are are tracking the specific dates). As I mentioned in the previous lasers thread, I witnessed them on Saturday, May 18.

Also, some of the animatronics seemed to be moving a bit smoother/quicker than I had seen back in the fall - though, that's probably just normal upkeep rather than what you're calling a "fix."

With the addition of the drawbridge music and narration, and more recently the barge comet launchers being used as backup to the perimeter launchers in ROE, it seems like IllumiNations has also gotten a little tlc. On our last visit in June of 2012 ROE was tighter as far as the timing of the shell bursts, and more impressive than I've ever seen it.

Yeah, I noticed the animatronics were moving more fluidly back in April also.

I was thinking about that too....

Splash Mountain (so far)
Potential Space Mountain exterior lighting
Epcot monorail beam cleaning
Further back I know but the HM and the HoP
Star Tours
City of Tomorrow model cleaning on TTA
MSUSA Castle projectors resiting

A drop in the ocean so far, and possibly just isolated projects for specific effects, but its a start.

I would LOVE to see LED lighting on Space Mountain exterior.. Make that puppy sparkle!

Although it was 4 months ago when I was last there, The Great Movie Ride, and Muppet Vision 3D, both looked the best I'd seen them in the past 10 years. :)

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad gysers (still) working a year after refurb. :)

Big list of short (and long) refurbs....Carrousel in FL, Jungle Cruise, Riverboat, Big Thunder, and MuppetVision, to name a few. Seems like a few of these are spit and polish, while others may include enhancements. The short refurbs (or refresh) are reminiscent of DL maintenance....let's hope that this trend continues. There's nothing better than a week-long cleanup to keep things in good shape.

I don't know if anyone out there can pinpoint when the tide changed at DL and since it's now been close to a decade, the DL regulars might not remember what actually started the reversal, but here we've got the opportunity to document the progress.

I thought the tide changed at DL (and I may be wrong) with the derailiment on Big Thunder Mountain in 2003. I know a few years earlier there was also an accident on the Columbia Sailing Ship.

So regarding maintenance at the parks, On Friday, Pirates had a super foggy Pirate Ship scene, Splash looks fabulous, and Jungle Cruise had a misty rainforest so misty it was quite dense.
