Out of Character

When visiting the Disney parks, do you ever come across characters that don't look too good? I'm basically talking about characters that don't look like the cartoons they are based off of. I have two characters in mind when I think of this- Daisy Duck and Maleficent. I am really disappointed in the appearances of these characters. Daisy Duck has a sedated look on her face and looks nothing like the cartoon, and I think that the Maleficent character should wear a mask (like Captain Hook). Maleficent has a long face, and whenever someone plays her, it's obvious that the person is wearing a bad makeup job with a fake nose and chin. I think that Maleficent would be much more accurate in appearance if she wore a mask...

I have pictures with the old old winnie the pooh with a honeypot on his head. Very weird looking.

Hook looked a little weird before he got his 'plastic surgery' as well.

I agree about Maleficent.....for such an awesome villain, the character in the parks looks like someone you'd find walking the streets on Halloween. There's got to be a better way to do that character.

The only thing about the Maleficent characters that I really love is the fact that the cast member really gets to play up this character. I have seen two in particular that had crowds of people just rolling with the things they were doing!

The character I really don't care seeing is Peter Pan - there is just something about seeing a 20 something short guy (or girl sometimes  ), trying to be a pre-teen boy.

I don't remember the Pooh with the honey pot on his head, but I do remember the Pooh that had a dark area over his mouth like Homer Simpson. I also think that Donald recently went through a redo, because he looks just like the cartoon! I hope that Daisy will go through the same soon. Also, has anyone ever seen Kuzco or Yzma in the parks? The Emeperor's New Groove is my favorite movie, and I'd love to see them in the parks and take a picture with them.

i think the head is where the hunny pot is. I dont really know. One thing i do know is that its nose used to move up and down because on my uncles disney world video from 1980, his little snout would move up and down.

And it seems like they havent really changed tigger (from the postcard).

btw, can somoen provide a pic of the mad hatter? before he became a face character.
