Our Villa

You know...as I was looking through some photo's of a handicapped accessible room on Deb's WDW website I just realized that we never got the villa that we asked for. First off we wanted a room that faced the boardwalk but instead we got a view of the pool but you really couldn't see much of anything due to two large trees right outside our balcony. Also we never recieved a handicapped room with accessible showers and all...oh well it didn't take away anything from our trip but really wished we had gotten a room we asked for. Anybody else had that problem?:)

I know that I haven't had a problem with any of the view requests.

What's the address to Deb's WDW website? My father is handicapped, and these pictures of the room would be nice to see.

I think one problem with the BWV is that there are only a limited number available to non-DVC members at any given time, plus they have been doing renovations all year, which cut down on the already limited number. I stayed in a 2 BR in August (it was fully accessible) and the bellman was amazed that I was able to get a 2BR! Also, the fact that I DID have a 2 BR is what made it accessible...the studio (which made the 2nd BR) did not have a "roll-in" shower. (A 2 BR is really 2 1 BR units combined)

So the fact that there are only 29 handicapped 1 BR villas to begin with, which may or may not be part of someone's 2 BR villa, and might have been in the "closed" area, makes it very difficult to get one. Then, trying to factor in a view makes it even harder.
