:mad:just found out from our travel agent (5 days before we are due to arrive at wdw) that our booking at allstar music wasnt made, and now they cant fit us in as the resort is fully booked. they have offered us sports resort which we really, REALLY dont like, and am not happy about it.
we booked 10 months ago and have had all the confirmations etc, and now they drop this on us. we feel like we are being downgraded, as i know sports isnt as nice as the other value resorts(even the price is less on the wdw website so we know its not as nice)the ta said all the others are full and thats out only option.
really upset to leave it till now, as theres not alot we can do other than cancel, but we have been looking forward to this for nearly a year.
any advise would be gratefully recieved.

Questions Master Yoda????? IF you don't make any money on anything then how do you stay in business????? We are paid a commission by Disney.

Are your rates the very same as booking yourself online?????Or calling a Disney CM???? Yes and no. You can find all of the same deals and rates we do but you have to search for them and Disney CMs can not volunteer that information when you call or book online. Also TAs that do not specialize do not always no how to work the Disney system like we do. For instance the first time I used KK as a customer my agent split our stay into two separate reservations so we could get a free $100 gift card. In a nut shell we save you all the leg work and research.

With the dining I find that that could be a mess. If you can't book the client at the time they want do you keep calling them back and calling the clients as well. Seems really difficult to me. I have never had a bit of problems booking our dining in Dec. I get right on with an operator and get the times I want within 30 minutes or so. I would rather know myself that I can give or take times and not have to be asked by a travel agent if it would work for us. Booking dining can be a bit tricky when booking for the most popular restaurants but we have ways to make it work. The main piece of information we get is how flexible you can be and work around the restraints you give us.

I know I asked KK 2 years ago about their prices and it was higher than what Disney quoted us. IT WAS. And the plane fairs were the highest. I could do better myself thru SW. Air fare is the trickiest part of any reservations. Prices vary widely and never seem to follow any rhyme or reason as to why. For that reason I always advise my clients to always shop the air portion of their reservation.

I am not dissing you just questions that I bet many here would like to know. It just seems that you have to be given discounts thru Disney then charge your customers the rack rate as everyone else. I have never read where they had a better room rate thru any travel agent rather than going thru Disney themselves. Could you explain that to many of us. We just don't get it.I thought the same way you did. I considered myself a Disney pro and thought that there would be little to no benefit by booking with an agent. I tried KK as a customer a number of years ago just to see what all the hub-bub was about and from that day on I was sold as a client. I never realized how much work went into reserving all the aspects of a Disney trip until I no longer had to do it. I got really spoiled for those few years. I simply sent Marie from KK an email and forgot about it until it was time to go on the trip. I no longer worried if there was a discount code that I missed or an ADR that I forgot about. She took care of it all.

Thanks for your honesty... We have often wondered how that worked... I know this will clear up alot with other posters as to whether they want you to do it or to experience the magic themselves... Good luck on your commissions. I love doing it myself. It's the best feeling in the world to talk to a CM about all the options that you have and might consider. I just got off the phone again with them and booked another day so now 9 nights. Still not enough but have to come home sometime....

I hate sports in general, but last trip, my BF wanted to stay at All Star Sports (wow, that could be a vulgar abbreviation) instead of movies or music. !

That would be a funny acronym in a thread to see.

What was that smell in our All
....................................Star
....................................Sports last night.

we just got back from All Star Sports literally! we were there from May 9-May 16. Had a blast! We were in the basketball section which was a good walk from the food court, but the best thing about All Star Sports, is that it is the first to pick up and the first to drop off of all the All Star resorts. This is a BIG deal when you have 3 resorts that are popular because of price! We had requested the football section of this resort but were pleased none the less with where we ended up because it was on the "backside" of the hotel and was quiet!

If there is a "downside" to the All Star resorts, it is the fact that the 3 busiest and probably most popular have to share 1 bus most of the time and I don't understand that! there were times we were packed in like sardines!

But regardless of Movies or Sports or Music, you should enjoy yourself since you will be at WDW and all you will be doing is sleeping there for the most part anyway.

I can answer all your questions for you. Along with great service you also get the peace of mind that you will get the best rates possible without the worry of keeping tack of all the discounts and promotions that Disney runs. Once you book with us we keep track of all that information and if a promotion comes out that you qualify for we rebook you at the new lower rate. We also take care of making your payments for you and we can handle all of your dining reservations as well. That way you are not stuck on the phone for hours with Disney. You tell us where and when and we take care of the rest. We can also become your personal guide to WDW. KK agents eat breath and sleep Disney. Have a question about an attraction, restaurant or show we don't just regurgitate information you read on the Disney site we give information based on personal experience. The best part of the whole thing is that we do it for the low price of nada, zip, nothing.

If you have a trip coming up I highly recommended you give either myself or one of the other agents at KK a shot. You will never book on your own again.

(I am also Mickey-Mommy on here and thought I was posting under that name, but am on my husband's computer which is always signed in under this name. Trying to not totally confuse you!)

Could you cancel our current reservation and then rebook through you, or would I have to cancel my current reservation myself?

Do you still get the additional things that Disney offers for booking through them online like the free mini golf, credit at Planet Hollywood, etc?

Sounds like I would really like to consider working with you. My husband is going to be having Gastric Bypass surgery June 1st, so I'll be busy with him and may forget to start booking our ADR's. :hammer:

As long as you booked it yourself and not through another Travel agent then we can take over the existing reservations. There is a pretty simple form that you would have to fill out that we would send to Disney. I'll have to double check on the perks but I am 99% sure that they will be the same.
