Hey there!

We have had dinner at Mama Melrose a few times and have not been disappointed. We did the Fantasmic Dinner package there too.

Whispering Canyon is one of our favorite places to eat. We love the All you care to eat breakfast skillets, they have nice sandwiches and salads for lunch and the all you care to eat BBQ skillet is very nice for dinner...even though my picky kids find the sauce "too smokey". Don't for get to ask for ketchup and extra straws when you are there. And the never ending milkshakes....:slurp:

We haven't eaten in the others you have listed. Have a great trip!

This website has pics and menus for some places.

Planet Hollywood's atmosphere is crazy awesome, you never get bored in there. But i've never been too pleased with the food. i know a couple people who have gotten sick after eating there. I guess it all depends on what you emphasis as what you want in a Disney meal. Sometimes I will forego Great food to have an awesome atmosphere. But sometimes I won't. Personal Preference

All good choices. However, I have to agree Planet Hollywood is solely atmosphere and not food. So, choose accordingly. If you want to stay in that area, try one of the restaurants on the Boardwalk, YBC, or OKW and then take the boat trip to DTD. Portabello's isn't too bad, either.

I agree on Planet Hollywood...to me, it's just like the Hard Rock, which in my experience is basically a glorified TGI Friday's

I also echo what has been said about Planet Hollywood. From a meal perspective, you can do a lot better.

Also, not sure why you are doing Breakfastasaurus as a sit down for the meal plan. There are a lot of other picks that you would get more for your money.

Anytime you want to check out menus ahead of time, go to:

Defintally change planet hollywood and try somthing you can only enjoy in disney such as Liberty Tree Tavern or a resrurant in one of the hotels (boma, whispering canyon, myan grill, california grll, chef mickeys) your in disney so why not enjoy all you can with a disney feel!

Ok, I would make a few changes, first I would take out Mama Melrose's (MGM). I've been there and it was really nothing fantastic. I would say a better atmosphere and food location at MGM would be Sci-Fi dine in theatre or 50's prime time cafe. Both have great food and atmosphere.

Whispering Canyon (Wilderness Lodge), do not change it, that's a great restaurant and a cool atmosphere, but be warned that there really isn't a need for whispering there.

I would also change Donald's Breakfastsaurus (animal kingdom), as mentioned there a much better places to go to. I would advise going to the breakfest buffet at Port Orleans Riverside to Boatwrights. Good food, plus buffet and nice atmosphere too. Nice resort to just look at as well if you have time.

Rose & Crown Pub, Dining Room (epcot)-Nice restaurant, you may be able to time this to sit outside and eat during Illuminations too. It's a great spot for the fireworks and a great place to eat.

Finally, I would advise to change Planet Hollywood (DTD) as well. Cool place, but not great food for the price. I would suggest Boma at Animal Kingdom Lodge which is a very good buffet, or if you want to stick in the Downtown Disney area, I would even choose Rainforest Cafe over this. If you like seafood, Fulton's crab house is great at DTD.

At Mama Melrose's, I've had the wood-grilled salmon which was good. Have had the flatbreads too which were great.

Been wanting to try Whispering Canyon. Have heard it's an experience to eat there. We ate at Artist's Point, and on our way out heard alot of frivolity coming from WC.

Never ate at Breakfastsaurus.

At Rose & Crown, I usually order the Cottage Pie.

Finally, I agree with dropping Planet Hollywood (and don't sub with Rainforest Cafe). It's a chain, and can be found in most major US cities. Go if you want the movie theme, but my new favorite at DTD is Raglan Road. I always start with the Scallop Forks, and have been working my way down the menu, wanting to try everything once. I also like Cap'n Jacks, Portobellos, and Bongos.

I know you're trying new places, so the ones I named you may have eaten at already.

Happy eating!

Never tried Mama Melrose's (MGM) but I've heard it is good, so stay with that.

Whispering Canyon (Wilderness Lodge) Is great! We got the all you can eat BBQ skillet and the never ending milkshakes, needless to say we could hardly move at the end of the meal.

Donald's Breakfastsaurus (animal kingdom), I really liked this character breakfast and the food was pretty good. We were in the first seating of the morning and the characters were put in our section first. Can't beat a hug from Mickey, Pluto, Donald, and Goofy first thing in the morning!

Rose & Crown Pub, Dining Room (epcot) Really good food, I love the bangers and mash. Other people in the family have gotten and loved the pie sampler and the fish and chips.

Planet Hollywood (DTD): to echo others don't bother. The food is bad, and the place is LOUD! When we went this time (and we only went because we had a free meal voucher through AAA) they didn't even play movie clips it was all music videos so it really did seem like Hard Rock (and Hard Rock is much better). Plus there was a huge rip or something in the ceiling, a huge white streak in the blue ceiling. If are a huge movie buff then go but don't expect to be wowed.

Place to try instead: 'Ohana at the Polynesian, Liberty Tree (MK), or Biergarten (Germany).

Spirit of Aloha at The Polynesian is an entertaining dinner show not to be missed.

Boatwrights isn't a buffet for either breakfast or dinner and if you are on the dining plan, it isn't worth using a point to eat breakfast here since it costs less than $10 per person.

I say ditch Planet Hollywood for Boma at Animal Kingdom Lodge. Great food, and it's a fantastic place hang around at wander outside to look at the animals. It's my favorite!!!

The only one of those restaurants I've visited is Whispering Canyon, and that was for dinner. The food was great (we did the family style, and I made the apple vinaigrette salad dressing after we came home, mmmmm), and the atmosphere was a LOT of fun. If you're looking for a quiet place, that's not it. :) If you're thirsty, go ahead and tell them you'll be asking for a LOT of refills throughout your meal.

I'd like to try the Rose and Crown when I make another trip to WDW. It keeps popping up as one of those things I've just never gotten around to doing.
