Our reservations are messed up!

Hello friends. Our annual trip to WDW begins in 5 days:sohappy:! This morning I called to confirm our reservations for our up coming trip. Our reservations for Brown Derby and Liberty Tree Tavern were correct....4 people. However, our reservation for Chef Mickey's was wrong. They have us booked for 2 people. I don't understand what happened since we made all the reservations together. The young lady on the other line was very apologetic, and also stated that this was the second messed up reservation in a row she had. She said they were totally booked (not surprising) and suggested calling back everyday to see if there were any cancellations.
Here's my question....will they turn us away if they have no seating for the other couple in our party? I would think that since this was something messed up on their end, they would accomodate us. Do any of you suggest that we just go and hope they'll seat us. Or is this a lost cause. We have never been to Chef Mickey's and were really looking forward to going.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you:wave:.

I would say go. Disney has always tried to repair any mistakes they have made. We were at Chef Mickeys just the other week. I wasnt that much impressed with the look of the area as they seem to be doing some renovationns there but the bfast was great. I did like Ohana's better though.

My experience Disney will always try to make things right. Several years ago I was at Fantasmic and decided to buy food there for my daughter who was complaining she was hungry. I didnt bring any cash on me and found out once I was there trying to buy food that they didnt take credit or room keys there. When I went back to my seat and told my daughter I couldnt get anything one of the CM there selling items for the show over heard what was going on. 3 minutes later 2 CM's came too us and wanted to know how they could fix the problem. They actually brought food for us at no charge.

Always ask and discuss problems you have with CM's there. If you dont get the answer you want from one then go to another. Im pretty sure they will do anything to make you happy.

I'd say they would probably be able to accommodate you but I would still call back whenever you have time.

I don't have much experience with ADR problems. I've only had this happen once; we'd made a reservation for 8 and when we checked they only had us down for 6. They didn't have a problem with our party when we arrived. We end up waiting for about 15 extra minutes.

This was a few years ago, they might have gotten stricter but I wouldn't think so.

While I totally sympathise with your problem there is nothing you can do to prove to Disney that you actually booked for four. They may think that you're just trying to get two more seats at the last moment.

At the end of the day, a restaurant will only take so many guests and cannot physically accomodate any more.

Turn up before your allotted time and see if there have been any cancellations or no-shows.

Good luck

Hello Captain...

I just thought or figured that maybe they would consider my other 2 reservations we made, which were made correctly and are for 4 people. I would understand Disney not accepting us if we didn't have a resevation at all, but we made these reservations all at the same time many months ago. We are calling back each morning to see if there are any cancellations. Hopefully there will be a couple of no shows. Thanks:wave:.

That's not a bad idea - you could always ask the desk staff to contact dining reservations and give them your ADR confirmation numbers
