We decided to take the plunge this year and go at Christmas! What are you tips and suggestions for this special time of year at WDW?
If you do have to pick and choose and know you wont do it all I would put the lights at DHS at the bottom of the list... to me they were beyond overkill, it reminded me of one of those Christmas movies where the neighbor goes nut on the lights... might be interesting to see, but not that pretty... very much an over the top kind of thing, and for me the magic of Christmas lights is seeing them from a distance where you don't see the electric cords... you see the warts and all at DHS.
Christmas and Disney don't mix for me, in fact... I need snow and cold weather. Being from New England I am clearly biased. I can't see myself looking at a Christmas tree while wearing shorts, its strange.

You are so lucky, its a HUGE goal of mine to someday spend some time at wdw during the holiday season!! Enjoy ur time, take it easy and dont let the crowds ruin what will surely be an unforgettable time
We are going in a couple of weeks. The one thing you might want to reconsider if you have young children is Candlelight Processional. We have certain members of our group who plan on at least trying to get in, but our kiddos are really too young to sit through it, so at least one of the adults in our group will be skipping it.
Beyond that, we'll be doing MVMCP, all of the Christmas festivities in the World Showcase, Osbourne Lights (I know it's not for everyone, but in my eyes- there is no such thing as holiday light overkill...yes, I'd like my yard to be seen from space  I'm serious :lookaroun), and in addition to our hotel, we'll be visiting another 4 Deluxe resorts to check out the decorations/gingerbread. I've also seen a few people say that each resort has a schedule of holiday activities that you'll find out about at check in- that is, if anything is going on during your trip.
The crowds are going to vary based on when you go...i.e. the closer to Christmas, the more packed it's going to be.
Have a great trip!
