We're from the UK so when we go to Florida and go to WDW, Uni/IOA, Seaworld etc we also then spend a week at Clearwater on the Gulf Coast, we love it there and should I win the lottery that is where you'll find me!

I grew up on the beach, so that is usually the LAST place I want to go when on vacation.....................of course my wife LOVES the beach so we HAVE to go once a year (read: I have to put up with it once a year). I don't normally have specific destinations for vacation (other than Disney World). I just like to go somewhere I have never been, or do something I have never done. We go to Disney World every year because it is the only place my wife and I can agree on.
Same here. My husband and I grew up at the beach as well, so it is also the last place we would pay to visit. My family still lives there so we do go for a week during the summer and stay with my parents for free. My sister sounds like your wife and is currently looking to buying a house on the beach, so we will have continue to have a cheaper if not free place to stay. Without it I wouldn't pay to vacation at a beach. I HATE the sand, but my kids love it so for a cheap trip we go once in the summer. We do Disney every year and I don't see that changing. We have traveled to Virginia, and Washington DC for vacations also, and hope to reach Disneyland in the next few years. We also hope, once our children are a little older, to visit many of the national parks across the US.

We love our annual Disney vacations and we also love going to new places. We have been to many places in the southeast, starting from Key West and going up to Washington DC and over to Texas. There are so many wonderful places to visit in our country. In the next few years we plan on traveling to Yellowstone and The Grand Canyon. We have a cabin in the NC mountains, so we are able to relax and hike during the year as well.

This! America is full a great places and "hidden" treasures. You just have be willing to look and sometimes stray off the beaten path. I especially enjoy the unexpected things that tend to make for great memories.

One of our "planned" future visits will be to D.C., hopefully before my daughter gets to old to enjoy the parent thing. Sigh....

We take around 7 or 8 camping trips from May to October each year so it makes the summer go by real fast. During the winter we try to find hotels in the area with indoor swimming pools so we can swim for a couple of days. My entire family enjoys swimming in pools (not a big fan of the ocean or lakes) so it makes the winter go by a little bit faster.

This is what we "camp" in....
