For the first five visits to the 'World, we stayed on I-Drive and relied on hotel coaches to travel to WDW and back. SeaWorld and Universal were not a problem as they were on trolly bus stops (Universal is a little walk to the stop), but we had issues with cramped and crowded buses, which circumnavigate all of Orlando/Kissimmie, before finally dropping you off (always the last ones) in I-Drive and in the morning picking up. The coach could take an hour to get to/from WDW. Because they went to other hotels, they were always full, which meant space was not guaranteed, which also meant a l-o-n-g wait in a line, sometimes waiting for two or three busses. They also did not align park hours to bus times, which on one occasion, because we wanted to see the MK fireworks, that cost us a two-hour wait on the tarmac before the bus picked us up and gave us the tedious hour-long circuit before finally dropping us off early hours in the morning (and having to get up again extra early to catch the bus again). If we decided to come away from WDW to catch the bus, we would lose one or two hours of park time.
Then we decided to drive and all our problems went away. We arrive when we like, stay as long as we want, option to leave a go somewhere else, and under no pressure to leave and not miss anything.
