Orlando Thrill Park unveils 14 rides

This is true, the lightning here is insane. This year there were practically no storms and no lightning all summer though. It was very strange. Regardless, the storms don't stop 4 water parks from thriving in Orlando, so I don't really think it's much of an issue. If the daily storms were that bad people wouldn't want to walk around Disney either.

The proposal of opening that many rides at once is rather insane I have to agree, considering how long it took CP and SFMM to do it. Doesn't seem too realistic, even though several of these Vekoma coasters are small footprint and not nearly as expensive as a large B&M or Intamin. However, they should space out the rides. Start with 7 or so, and then open a new ride each year to bring people back.

Really? No lightning in central Florida? I guess all that lightning I've seen during the summer is artificially created by Dr. Doofenshmirtz' Lightning-inator.

Only in Tampa Bay :lookaroun

While I agree it usually rains a lot in FL, there have been some trips I have taken down there where it didn't rain all week.. at least during the day.

Well I think the general location is OK but the exact spot that I heard was being used has really horrible traffic. An amusement park would only add to that. I've been there many times and spent an hour to go less than a mile.

The location in question has absolutely horrible traffic, that's for sure. There would have to be major infrastructure improvements before they could make this work.

If you don't know the area, it's across I-4 from Universal, in a heavily trafficked area with lots of development already, and with nowhere near enough ways to cross I-4. So it would not just be a matter of widening or adding side streets, the real issue is getting across I-4, meaning they'd have to build flyovers or something.

On top of that, the land is adjacent to a residential neighborhood. For these reasons in combination, I'm skeptical that they will even get approval to build.
