Disneyland Resort Joins the Halfway to Halloween Fun

Excited we will actually be in California and at Disneyland during Halloween! We’ve done Halloween in Florida and looking forward to it. And it’s been a long time since we’ve been able to go - have my calendar marked to check on tickets. We’ll be in September, so even though the tickets sound like they go quick, I think we’ll be good. Question - if they keep the schedule they’ve had in the past, we might be able to go on two nights - thoughts on two nights over one?

It'll give you a lot more breathing room to experience everything for sure (Minnie/Daisy/Clarabelle as the Sanderson sisters drew 1.5+ hour long lines all night last year), but I don't think it's worth going two nights unless the characters are your number one priority. You'll more than likely be able to prioritize what you want to do within the party time.

As a character fan, I'd've liked to have gone two nights to see absolutely everyone, but last year I got through a majority of the character locations in just the one night - though I did miss a few I'd've liked to have seen.

Same! 1st time at DL in Sept and we're definitely doing this.

1. Correct, plus a couple Saturdays (usually the first or second Saturday of September and then the Saturday before Halloween).
2. That is correct.
3. By September, Disneyland is typically 8am-11pm or 8am-12am. DCA is 8am-10pm on non-party nights, 8am-6pm on party nights (though with a ticket you have access from 6pm-11pm with mix-in at 3pm).

All my friends that went to this event like 10 years ago all kept saying "it's expensive but you get soooo much candy it's worth it".

1) I don't want a lot of candy, I'd rather get bakery style stuff if I want sugar.
2) Do people not know how cheap candy is?

If someone wants to go to an event and enjoy it that is totally fine, but candy wouldn't be a factor for me personally.

If someone wants to go to an event and enjoy it that is totally fine, but candy wouldn't be a factor for me personally.

1 & 2) When tickets were up to around $50 I could easily fill my backpack and get that much or more (compared to Costco!) and have plenty of time to do everything else too. Gave it all away on Halloween. I have spreadsheets somewhere with full counts of each type over the years.

As an adult I loved being able to trick or treat again.

Exactly. Consider a $1 per candy bar, you would need 190 pieces to break even. I don't think the candy trails are handing out more than one piece. Is it even possible to do all the trails 190 times during that night?

Oh but it is Disneyland at Halloween! Oh, Pixie Dust La La La La! Leave your brain at the door and your wallet in the rat's hands.

There are no longer any Saturday nights. Doesn't make sense, since those nights were usually one of the first to sell out.

But since every night sells out anyways, I guess it doesn't really matter to Disney.
