The Disney Parks Blog has announced that Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party will be coming to Disney California Adventure later this year. Highlights include a brand-new iteration of World of Color (the previously-leaked "Villainous!" show) and the moving of the Frightfully Fun Parade to DCA from Disneyland park. The event is seemingly replacing Mickey's Halloween Party at Disneyland.

Monsters Inc should already be scary, but it isn't. They could make the Mermaid ride spookier by playing up Ursula.

The prices for this event is amazingly high. I hope to go in September. October is worse.

It's dependant on the existing infrastructure of HM. While it radically alters the ride with neon lights and ugly puppets, it's an overlay of HM. So, no?
But if only they would spend the money to create a new version of Nightmare for Monster's Inc. and leave HM alone...IF ONLY. They could just keep it as a permanent replacement for Monster's Inc. THAT'S a change guests would love. They should stop wasting funds on crud like "Emotional Whirlwind."

This sounds like fun, hopefully the overlay in redwood creak is fun. I want to see some of the creative Halloween atmosphere from Hong kong park show up here in DCA. Have a mixture of entertainment that is fun for everyone and some for a bit more daring crowd minus the gore and violence

So they can re-overlay it to a new building. One that is located in a very sleepy corner of Hollywoodland and not in Disneyland.

Thematically, they’ll make just as much sense there as they do at the Mansion

Yup. The intro would need to be reworked (stretching room and changing portraits) but from there on out it’s pretty much plug n play.

We attended the first 3 or so Halloween parties at DCA and really enjoyed the wider walkways...and much cheaper price back then. I actually prefer it at DCA but ugh, that ticket price. Nope.

>Disney moved the former Mickey’s Halloween Party to Disney California Adventure in part to make room for the massive crowds expected to descend on Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge when the new themed land debuts May 31 at Disneyland.

The after-hours Halloween event is one of the few times of the year when older kids and adults can wear costumes in the theme park.

Oogie Boogie Bash will include a new “World of Color” nighttime spectacular, outdoor dance party, Disney villains walk-through experience, Halloween parade, Mickey Mouse children’s show and trick-or-treating trails.<<

>he Oogie Boogie Bash Halloween party at Disney California Adventure runs on select night from Sept. 17 through Oct. 31. The five-hour separate-ticket event runs from 6-11 p.m. with theme park mix-in beginning 3 to 4 hours earlier. Tickets cost $100 to $145 for annual passholders and $110 to $145 for general admission.<<
