Online Dining Reservations

Just wondering if anyone knows when the new online ADR system will be up and running. Also happy to see Disney changed the ADRs to 90 days, I would have been happy with 14 days out. Its all over kill anyway. Hope everyone is having a nice christmas. :xmas:

I think I'll still stick with phone reservatons. Here's why.
I call and say "Yes, I'd like a table for two at Le Cellier on June 12 at 6:00."
The CM says "6:00 is not available. How about 6:10?"
I don't think the Internet will give you this kind of service.

I agree with you on this But on the other hand
I am going to like the 90 days out instead of the 180 this way we should be able to see the park hours and which park has the Magical hours so we can schedule around this. As it is now some times you have to just make your resevation and hope for the best.

I imagine the system will find the closest available time to the time you request. Kinda like ticketmasters best available option. I don't know I am just guessing. If they don't do this it won't be very time efficient. I am looking forward to it I think, I guess we will see.

Online ADR's

Lots of bugs when it goes online if history is any indication! Stick to phone calls for really important ADR's for several months after launch.

If you read the official announcements from the upgrades that were to happen in October and December, which we are still waiting on, they basically said that:

First, they are upgrading the underlying system that is used to make ADR's.
Second "In the future, Guests will be able to make dining reservations online at disneyworld.com with this new reservation booking system. The launch date for this enhancement will be announced at a later date."

In other words, this is a 2-step process.

We are still waiting for step 1 to be completed!!!!

Online booking is still quite a ways off, I believe.

I don't mind the phone call...I enjoy talking to CM's they are always so nice...I hate that its a long distance call... $$$

We're set to make ADR's in mid-June. Is there any chance the online system will be in place that soon? Thanks!

I called last week (Wed. April 15) for ADR's. Was on the phone for 36 minutes to make 4 reservations for last week of June. I could only make 3 as the Fantasmic dinner package was "sold out" everyday. All 3 of our dinners are after 7:00 PM too. It took way too long to make our reservations. Last year was so much easier. Good luck on your mid-June reservations!

Yeah thats a problem with both systems, I don't see how you avoid that problem.

To make an online reservation, I would assume you need to register with a username and email address, like you do here. The system would not let you book another ADR within a certain window. or at least this is how I imagine it would be. I'm sure some people will find a way around it.
