Online ADR's

We're thinking about going back the WDW in October and were looking at the Online ADR system yesterday.

We started playing around with a Chef Mickey reservation and got right to the end of the process and where not acted to provide credit card details. Is this right? I thoughtball ADR's were secured with a Credit Card in the past for placed like CM?

We didn't proceed, because the trip isn't confirmed yet, but I was curious as to whether they still took a CC number?

A credit card is only taken for certain restaurants now I think. I know California Grill takes one, but I believe most don't take one.

As of now, you don't need a CC to secure Chef Mickey's, even though it is one of the most popular restaurants at WDW.
There are some restaurants where you do need a CC to guarantee a reservation - for example, Princess Storybook (it doesn't charge you at the time of the booking though).
Another example - CRT does charge you at the time of the booking.

Thanks for the update all.

I'm kind of tempted to book a ADR on the chance that we get to go, but then I feel that would be unfair to those that have confirmed trips and can't get an ADR.

*Grrrr*

Anyway, thanks for the heads up.
