Final Blitz Reviews
I think it is funny how once DCA was considered the worst Disney park, but now twenty years late people look back to the early days with nostalgia. I think this show could work given how DCA has become very beloved in the last ten years, and in the last couple of years people have rediscovered love for the original DCA. Overall a nice idea.Golden Park Celebration
DCA Will Soon Be Crafting A Spectacular To Celebrate The Park’s History, From The Nostalgic Bad, To The Great, To The Modern Bad.
Such a great name for a Disney nighttime spectacular that I'm honestly surprised that Disney has yet to actually utilize it! I think adding a permanent nighttime show to the Studios park in Paris is a smart move to alleviate pressure from Disneyland park, and keep guests in the studios park all day. Highlighting Walt's life and classic movies is also a nice touch, and given all the remakes these classics will still be relevant with the younger guests as well as the oldest of guests.If You Can Dream It, You Can Do It
Named after the iconic Walt Disney quote, this new nighttime show for Walt Disney Studios Paris is a big celebration of Walt‘s life, featuring projections of scenes from classic Disney films.
(also, is it ok that some of my submissions were two sentences?)
Disney tried this with Rivers of Light 2.0, but it failed cause it was an odd mish mash of the original show and IP. I think creating a whole new show like how you outlined is a wise direction. The IPs chosen are expected, but still that is what would be used in this sort of show.Animal Kingdom Nighttime SpectacularReplacing Rivers of Light, this World of Color-esque show celebrates Disney movies about animals - The Lion King, The Jungle Book, A Bug's Life, Bambi, Brother Bear, movies like that.
I'm not sure what MIKAN stands for so hopefully you could let me know about the acronym. With that said I didn't think anyone would pitch a parade, but I am glad you did as this is a great concept! Bringing to life the history of Walt Disney on a parade is a great concept, and the mixture of inspirations makes for a great parade. The influence of Eureka and Spectromagic is sure to give the parade plenty of unique visually interesting floats.Night falls on Disney California Adventure, and so begins MIKAN: Story of One Man, a dramatization of Walt’s own life story as a parade, marching though Hollywood Boulevard to Golden State. The aesthetics are a mix of SpectroMagic, Illuminations, and Eureka, and manage to encapsulate Walt’s life story and the characters within, both imagined and real, within the style of the parade.
This is a really unique take on a new nighttime show for Disney. It is nice to see a new take on the Great Movie Ride idea, and this concept really reminds me of the ride's montage finale. The celebration of Disney's wide library of film is a great way to end the night at the movie park, and the movable stages for live actors really sets this show apart from other spectaculars Disney has tried. The only concern is the smaller size of the Chinese Theater courtyard holding all the people, but beyond that the show has a really neat concept.Blitz 7: Final Blitz
Disney Great Movie Spectacular
This new nighttime spectacular at Hollywood Studio is located in the park's hub and is centered around Disney's most recognizable movies.
Tech Wise the show uses fireworks launched from TSM show building's roof aswell as 5 "land barges" that can be moved easily and rapidly from their maintenance bay to the show area as a "train" on wheels, but they do not move during the show, and they feature large screens with stages in front for comedian to redo famous scenes.
This is more of what would expect from modern day Disney attempting a nighttime show at Hollywood Studios and is reminiscent of what was done with Disney Movie Magic and World of Animation. With that said the show is a good mesh of live action and animation, and is a true celebration of Disney's modern film library.Blitz 7Join your favorite characters from the biggest Disney films in the new “revolutionary” nighttime spectacular, featuring beloved films such as “Star Wars: Attack of the Clones,” “Frozen,” and “Captain Marvel” projected on the Chinese Theater. Nothing can stop us now as Mickey Mouse invites you on a journey of music, featuring famous compositions such as “Across the Stars” and “Portals,” as well as beloved musical numbers such as “Lost in the Woods” and “Prince Ali” as Hollywood Studios is lit up with the magic of Disney.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios Presents: CineMagic
I like the name of the show, and appreciate the effort put into coloring every letter as I know how much of a pain that can be. The show sounds very busy in the best way possible as it seems to be a feast for the eyes with all of the colors and lights on the castle alongside the fireworks in the sky. I'm a bit curious as to how the characters would work? Would they be projections, the regular costumes we see in the parks, or some form of new hybrid? Either way introducing characters to come out and wow guests is sure to make a guests viewing experience even better!Dreamskies
A mix of fireworks, colors & projections above & over Cinderella Castle, with projections of famous movie scenes in the skies & on the castle, lights and colors dancing across the skies & famous Disney characters popping out of every corner, ending with an appearance of Sorcerer Mickey himself.
Now this is a nighttime show that fits Epcot really well (yes this is shade to Harmonious). This show is like the evolution of Illuminations while incorporating elements of Future World which truly make it a show representative of Epcot as a whole. This should have been the next step for the park, and overall I think the message of this show is very strong.Blitz 7: Imagine
At nighttime rolls into Epcot, take a moment to witness this wonderful celebration of the sights and minds around the world that have helped all of us dreamers to imagine the next great step in humanity’s journey.
Another great name for a nighttime show at the Disney parks, and it is honestly surprising Disney has yet to use Wish Upon a Star as the name for a nighttime show. The plot of the show is pretty straightforward, and the characters described see a good blend of both classic and modern hits that people have come to love. I'm sure many a guest will fall in love with this show as it hits all the right marks for a Disney firework show.Blitz 7: WISH UPON A STAR
Wish Upon A Star, a brand new Nightime Spectacular, is coming soon to Disneyland Park; mapping projection on the castle will be used alongside the fireworks. After Mickey Mouse makes a wish for the wishes of all his friends to come true, guests will be able to experience the dreams of the most beloved characters in the Disney repertoire like Cinderella, Pinocchio, Moana, Elsa and more.
This project has broken the rules (which you have done for nearly every challenge even though I have told you along with @MickeyWaffleCo. time and time again to try and trim things down) and therefore will be not be allowed to award you points nor rankings. Furthermore I'm not sure id Disney would ever produce a show like this given it has none of their films represented, and is a celebration of Warner Bros. With that said this is a great Warner Bros nighttime show, and would work at any Warner Bros theme park.
Listen the music of the Warner Brothers films of the imagination fireworks & projection adventures like: romantic, comedy, horror, superheroes, animation, mystery, and sci-fi from The Jazz Singer to the Wizard of OZ to Casablanca to Singin in the Rain' to Looney Tunes to Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory to Superman (1978) to Gremlins to Batman (1989) to Lethal Weapon to Mars Attacks! to Harry Potter to Justice League (2017) to Wonder Woman 1984 to Space Jam: A New Legacy to Batman (2022).
Bugs Bunny will be music host to play the music scores of the Hollywood movies into the stars. Premiere in 2023 at Disney's Hollywood Studios.
This is a great take on the prompt, and is really unique! I think the strategic spreading out of bands throughout the park was a smart play as each group is equally distance from one another. In addition this sounds like a really fun concept, and is reminiscent of events that occur more frequently at Disneyland. Overall a really fun concept that is a nice spin on the nighttime spectacular idea.DISNEY’S HOLLYWOOD STUDIOSBeginning in 2022, Disney’s Hollywood Studios becomes the epicenter of live music, as the park closes to the public at 7pm to play host to a limited ticket event on the first Thursday of every month from April through October!
‘ROCK N RIDES’ ALL NIGHT PARTY
This all new party will feature three stages (Galaxy’s Edge, Hollywood Blvd, Sunset Blvd, as indicated on map) featuring over a dozen artists covering genres ranging from punk and metal, to indie rock and hip hop, and anything and everything in between, all while the theme park itself remains open with rides and restaurants serving up fun and food to compliment the festivities!
Splendiferous is one of those words that just screams Disney PR's team so great job encapsulating their form of writing up announcements with this pitch With that said Mythica is a great pitch for a nighttime show as it delves away from the recent format of shows being Disney's greatest hits, and is more akin to something that is a mix of something like Fantasmic or Illuminations with a touch of Happily Ever After. It is a good mashup of ideas, and seems like it has a strong base for a show.Blitz 7 – MythicaA splendiferous spectacle of fireworks, water effects, and magic, Mythica celebrates mankind’s passion for storytelling through a dazzling look at Disney’s many stories and tales, through its heroes and villains, music and animation, with heavy themes on love, courage, and compassion.
Utilizing the newly constructed lake at the Studios park is a smart move, and this huge nighttime specular aids in spreading the crowds between the two parks. The first sentence is full of plenty of Disney's favorite buzz words which adds to the authentic Disney Parks Blog feel of this pitch. If I'm not mistaken I believe there is a strong rumor that Paris actually did buy the Sorcerer's Hat from Tokyo so we may actually see that rolled out one day is the rumor is true! With that said I love how detailed you were about the technology and effects from the barges to the fountains and lighting effects it was all through out. The addition of custom score and a whole new original song is the cherry on top for this whole spectacular that reads as well, a spectacular!Walt Disney's Tapestry of Dreams
Lake Buena Vista, Walt Disney Studios Park, Disneyland Paris
As day turns to night, Lake Buena Vista at the Walt Disney Studios Park comes alive with a spark of imagination and fantastic imagery that brings to life a wonderful world of color and light, in a proclamation of the power of dreams and magic that was all started by one creative genius and a mouse: Walt Disney's Tapestry of Dreams!
The largest nighttime spectacular created for the Disneyland Paris Resort to date, Tapestry will celebrate the Disney spirit of adventure, dreams, friendship, love, and hope amidst adversity as seen in both classic and modern Disney films using an innovative, state-of-the-art performance toolkit featuring a four-story tall LED screen barge shaped like the Sorcerer's Hat from Fantasia (as seen in Tokyo DisneySea's Fantasmic!) that is accompanied by 4 smaller, fan-shaped LED screen barges (all moveable to and from the backstage marina to the center of the lake), colorful synchronized fountains, vivid silent fireworks (plussed with larger fireworks shells every Bastille Day and New Years' Eve), dynamic colored spotlights and lasers, and a stirring score by Christophe Beck (Frozen, Frozen II, WandaVision) with an original song called "Dreams Forever" by Robert Lopez and Kristin Anderson-Lopez (Frozen, Frozen II, WandaVision) and sung by Heather Headley (The Lion King and Aida on Broadway, Disney Dreams of Christmas, Disney Illuminations).

When I said to go out on a bang y'all really took this heart by pitching some great and amazing spectaculars! Many of you went in many different ways than the expected route, and the creativity for this round really shone through; cheers to all of you!
@Tegan pilots a chicken
This was a very unique approach to the concept of a nighttime spectacular, and in my opinion it worked! The live music throughout the park gives it this huge music festival feeling to the event, and while it is likely to be local groups it would still be loads of fun! The entire park still being open is a huge benefit, and you took advantage of an otherwise down period by having this event in the time frame you suggested.
@DashHaber
I think your concept perfectly melds together the ideals of both World Showcase and Future World with your pitch. It really does feel like the logical direction for an Epcot show, and a true successor to Illuminations. Overall your pitch was able to encapsulate the wonders of Epcot, and makes that park so special for so many people. Great job with the final prompt!
@Miru
Disney doing a parade with the influences of Spectromagic and Eureka is really interesting and intriguing as I think both were visually interesting, and thus they lovechild could be something really breath catching. If this parade could live up to those two inspirations then I think we would have a parade that is truly one of kind, and while it may not be what we all expect it still was an amazing idea.
@montydysquith-navarro
Walt Disney's Tapestry of Dreams sounds like a visual masterpiece, and something to rival the likes of Harmonious at Epcot. What puts this really over the top is the explanation of all the technical parts of the show from the barges to things like spotlights, lasers, fountains, changes for special days, etc. The premise of the show was also really solid, and is a step above of the typical shows Disney has been making in the past couple of years. The cherry on top was that you went the extra mile to make sure that this show would have an amazing new soundtrack alongside a new original song sung by an amazing vocalist (I have heard Heather Headley live, and she is just amazing)
